I was reading recently about how people living together sometimes develop their own 'language' at home, by using different names for things, or certain phrases no one else can make sense of!
It got me thinking, what do you call one of these:

For a long time my family called it a "commytrollus" after either me or one of my siblings said that, being unable to properly say "remote control"

And that's excellent @rustledjimm, it's harder to say commytrollus for me! This might be slightly unrelated, but after my sister called gloves "glubs" that has stuck too!

For me it's a remote control. I was with my grandson one day quite a few months ago and he asked where the "telly box" was. I said, what's a telly box, he said it's a remote. He's only 3 but so funny sometimes.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
