Hello again. As some of tou will remember I posted 2 weeks ago that I was to have a telephone assessment. Which did happen.
But I'm wondering how long does it take the assessor to send in that assessment to PIP and hiw long after tha5 does it take PIP to let me know they have it?
I'm based in Belfast.
Thank you.

Sometimes the report is returned the same day as the assessment. Other times it can take a few days. However, if it’s chosen for audit it will delay the process of it being returned.
Once it’s returned a decision can take up to 12 weeks.1 -
Thank you poppy. What is meant by audit please0
-
No problem. An audit means they are checking the assessor did their job correctly. Nothing for you to worry about at all.1

Keep us updated @male45
I hope you get the result you want. I know it can be pretty stressful just waiting for a decision like this so let us know if you need any support 1 -

Hi teasy1
I've not had any reply or notification that capita have even passed my assessment report to the dwp.
Things are very very slow here it seems with tour experience and mine and heaven knows how many others here.
I hope your outcome is positive for you.

Hi. Also in NI and so glad to find this thread. The wait for a decision is TORTURE.
Applied for PIP 4th May. Face to face assessment 7th August. Got text to say they had report 9th August followed by letter to say they had everything to make a decision dated 24th August. Text said eight weeks for decision. It's now six weeks since I was assessed.
Slowly climbing the walls tbh.0 -
Unfortunately, those 8 weeks given are more likely to be 12. I hope you hear back sooner though.coldwatermermaid said:Hi. Also in NI and so glad to find this thread. The wait for a decision is TORTURE.

@coldwatermermaid
I'm in South Wales and we have exactly same timeline my paper based assessment 7th Aug text to say it been recieved on the 9th then letter to say they have all information they need to make a decision. I asked for copy of report assessor suggest enhanced for both
But still haven't heard anything yet 😕1 -
Thank you so much for this! Good to know I'm not alone and really hope you hear soon. I'm so paranoid about the whole process now. Did I do this right? Did I not include stuff I should have mentioned? Stuff like that.Hannahmarie1234 said:@coldwatermermaid

At the beginning, counting the scores online, I would have said mine were high, too. But as time goes on I'm becoming more and more convinced they'll turne down. Makes me wish I'd asked for the report too!0 -
@coldwatermermaid
I know that's how I feel to I'm not holding my breath for a positive result 😒 you can still ask for a copy of your report just phone the helpline but to be honest when I first seen where she had ticked I was OK but now with it taking so long I keep thinking the decision maker has gone against it so still panicking1 -
Same! And tbh it's making me sick to my stomach. Just want it over and done with now so I know what I have to deal with. Am really struggling to keep up and prob gonna cancel a hospital appointment tomorrow because I simply can't afford to keep travelling in and out. Between this and not being able to get a GP to talk to on the phone it would be all too easy to disappear under a duvet for a week or two.Hannahmarie1234 said:@coldwatermermaid

@coldwatermermaid
I know I feel the same .aww can't you get someone to give you a lift to the hospital. It's not fair your struggling like this .
I really do hope you hear very soon0 -
Just had a phone call from PIP they've told me they're making the decision "Now" they've just confirmed my bank details and asked if i am happy to receive all my arrears in one lump sum.
Fingers crossed for all who's waiting x1
