Hello Everyone, we are new to this forum . Looks very helpful, we have been looking for something like this for a while. It’s not always easy negotiating systems. Our sister has cerebral palsy, visual impairment and epilepsy. We are trying to find out if there are any grants available for equipment such as a rise recliner. Thank you Gaynor and Wayne

Hi @gaynorwayne! Welcome to the community
The systems in place are indeed complex and bureaucratic. The Scope model of social disability says that we are disabled more by society than we are by our conditions. And the systems put in place to "help" the disabled certainly aren't always designed to be very helpful.
I hope the people here can give you the support and advice you need, we have many sections from benefits, to equipment and a section for Cerebral Palsy. Scope was original a charity especially for Cerebral Palsy so they carry that on while also being pan-disability
I hope your sister is doing well and I'm so glad she has you to support her. You're doing a wonderful thing!
