It’s unlikely that your review will be postponed. I would have expected you to have received your review forms by now, unless you were awarded by a Tribunal. My PIP is due to end in June 2024 and I received my form around the 2nd week of November. I returned them last week.Kerrie2k said:Hi,

Appeal is Tribunal stage. If the decision on your current award was made by the Tribunal then as I advised usually it’s about 14 weeks before it ends that DWP contact you. I’d advise you to ring PIP to ask them.1

Then you should expect the forms about 8 months before your award is due to end. I took is as your review date was your end date. Hi, I wanted to give an update on my PIP renewal. I wondered if this is normal and if anyone else has had a response like this before.
I received a text message this morning from DWP saying that my review is complete and I should receive my decision letter in 2 weeks time. ( which falls on Christmas day so may end up getting it much later) it then goes on to say that once I receive the letter, that I can contact them if I have any questions, but not before I receive the letter as I will not be given any information until then.
Does this mean that they have or haven't made a decision yet? Would I be correct in assuming that my renewal has gone badly? And will there be enough time to respond to the letter if Christmas day, boxing day and New Years day are taken into account in lost days to respond.
If anyone has had a similar text message or has any advice on any of my concerns I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

The review being complete means a decision has been made. Although the text advises you not to ring them, it doesn't mean you can't. You can ring PIP to ask what the decision is and they will tell you.

You need to treat the form as a new claim. Even if there’s been no changes please do not just put no change and nothing else. Adding a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened the last time she attempted each descriptor that applies to her. Include detailed information such as where she was, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.Make sure you include her name and NI number on everything you send.0 -
My PIP renewal wait timeline -PIP award extended by 10 months, until Jan 2024.Meanwhile, received AR1 form (PIP renewal form) in March 2023. Sent it off.Received DWP letter (dated 26 Dec 2023) saying - "renew not yet complete. award end date extended up to Jan 2025."I made my AR1 form fairly detailed, including enclosing two new health reports.1

Hi everyone - I had my PIP award review at the end of November and it has been back dated and renewed to a higher award. I was back dated to November 2022 as they said that was when I should have had my review. They said it is for 5 years - until 2027 which makes my next review November 2027. They counted 2022 as when this award started because I was backdated.
I wanted to say thank you so much to @poppy123456 and others for all your advice encouragement to help me get through it all emotionally and not feel so alone in this process.

So my pip is currently extended until September this year unless review done sooner can someone tell me based on the current wait times how likely I am to be not seeing my review until September this year or maybe even longer. Been waiting since January last year. Also due to all the backlogs are they mainly doing paper reviews without the need for a assessment?0

Thats like asking how long is a piece of string, I’m afraid. Most people still have assessments, which are mostly by telephone, some are face to face or video. Paper based assessments are still rare.0 -
So I had a call today from a private number and it was a woman saying I have a pip renewal assessment would I like a telephone or video assessment. Now I've not received any letters before this call today. Is this normal procedure? She said I'll get a letter in the next few days with my telephone assessment date and time. Just want to make sure this isn't a scam0

Sounds fine to me. They are asking which assessment you would like. So I have a telephone ass with capita on Monday for my pip renewal....
Does anyone know how reliable these tele assessments are? Do capita have a history of missing half the stuff out on the report for the dwp so that you could fail.
I had a renewal assessment during covid with a dwp assessor and passed no worries but I'm really anxious with going back through it but this time with capita.

I've never had an assessment with Capita, only Independent Assessment Services and who ever they were before that and never had an issue.
