P.I.P recieved my review on the 13/12/2021. Still nothing. I have been kept updated with texts every 3 month and still getting paid until they make the decision. In 2 weeks time. It will have been a full year of pure wait. I am fine though keeping my mind busy and trying not to think about it!. I did call last week for an update as I have only ever rang up once before.. anyway I was told it's been sent to see if I need an assesment or not. I was told some 1 will get in contact with me0

@BsMom I appreciate it has been a little while since you last posted on this thread now. Have things been for you more recently?
We want to make sure you receive the support you need and deserve. However, we also recognise that things might have changed since you last posted on this thread now0 -
@HayleyRx The wait sounds really lengthy and frustrating. Though positive to hear that you have been kept updated and still getting paid.
I am glad to hear you are fine and keeping your mind busy trying not to think about it. Good luck with someone getting in contact with you.
Please feel free to let us know how things go. We are all here for you and listening to you

my reward was supposed to end begin of may 22 I have rung them a couple of time since & first time was told it had been extended but no time limit was given to me back last month I rung again because a friends step daughter had applied for pip & already has her assessment appointment which I told them & was told there is a different between the two with new claims they are seeing them quicker then reviews & I should have my assessment shortly but he also stated not before Christmas at the start of the new year hope this helps people0

It’s not unusual to be waiting a year for a review decision at the moment. Your current award will continue until a decision is made on your review.
and previous evidence? Phone call? Or is it likely I’ll need to go to a face to face?0 -
Most people have assessments even for reviews. These are mostly by telephone but some are also face to face and video call. You can see the current stats for PIP here. https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/personal-independence-payment-statistics-to-january-2022/personal-independence-payment-official-statistics-to-january-2022

-
Yes mostly through telephone. Some are still face to face or video call. I’m not aware of any stats for this.0

Usually when it's a review started by DWP they don't usually owe any money if the new award is higher. Changes usually take place from the date of the decision. Due to backlogs some people have been owed some money and some haven't.

They used the date the dwp decided. The backdated pay would have been nice help. But no such luck . I did phone and ask but was kinda of a threat if will look at your award again u could lose it or it could be less. Could not deal with that.1
