    I'm glad bins are out tonight, last emptied few days before Xmas. Choc a block

    I've noticed some people can get help with their bins, i think you have to apply here. Gone are the days where they were carried on their backs, if lid is open a touch here they won't take it

    Morning everyone

    Hello @Ada

    Not much going on for me today but hopefully a stress free day.

    I hope you @ada and everyone else has an OK day.

    Has anyone heard of the game where you put the wrong bin out to fool the neighbours then when everyone has the wrong bin out you quickly put the correct bin out. :naughty:

    PS only joking, I like my neighbours and would not want to inconvenience them.

    Morning all.

    I overslept.it's much nicer waking up when it's not dark.

    @Teigr agreed, I have been waking up in the dark for a while.

    You can get special lamps that emit light which mimics daylight if that is something that would help you.

    I think I'll stick to oversleeping @66Mustang,it's cheaper and it shortens the day. :)

    Morning all :)

    Nothing like opening your curtains in the morning to let in the light and finding there isn't any light to let in!

    Maybe we should start hibernating through the winter, sounds like a much better plan than all this rain and cold

    A friend of a relative used to own a villa in Spain, they would rent it out over the summer but when retired he used to spend from October to March living there.

    Alright for some. :blush:

    @Beaver79 yeah we were told plain dry chicken is a good thing for them if they have an upset stomach.

    Seems like a good life @66Mustang!

    My partner's sister has a similar arrangement but without the villa. She and her husband run campsites and live full time in a caravan. They're over here during the spring and summer season working on the sites, then they drive over to Spain for the winter to get out of the cold. Not sure I could do it, but it works for them!

    Hope your dog feels better and you're able to get some rest @Beaver79

    @Rosie_Scope

    Sounds like a good arrangement if you can cope with living in a van, I think lots of people do that now, I believe there is even a "sub culture" called Van Life.

    The guy we knew was a right miser, he bought the villa for around £20,000 in a right state and did it up. He would drive his 20 year old car from the UK over to the villa in October and back again in March. :D So not a jet setter lifestyle but still rather nice.

    I guess look after the pennies and the pounds add up or whatever the saying is has some truth. :)

    Morning everyone!  I hope your dog feels better soon @Beaver79. Plain chicken shredded into some boiled rice is our usual go to for poorly dogs.

    @Beaver79
    I hope your dog just had an upset tummy and will be fine now 🤞🏾

    @66Mustang
    Hi I hope you’re good, oh that’s my dream to be able to live abroad in the winter months, as my arthritis pain is always better when I’m on holiday.
     But it’s only a dream 😂

    @Lou67 if it helps your health you should be prescribed 6 months a year abroad on the NHS. What could possibly go wrong with my plan?? :smiley:
