Hi
I'm Nemo.
Have you ever been spoken to in the third person, even when you've been right next to this person. It makes me feel dehumanized or is that the point.

Heya @Nemo59, welcome to the community. I hope you're keeping well?
This has happened many a time and I understand it can have a bad effect on you mentally. Though I find people often do this out of habit and don't do it with any malice. Is there anything we can do to support you regarding this? We're all here to help.

Regrettably its part of my neighbourhood and linked to malicious gossip and reputational damage. Its a pastime for unthinking superior types with time on their hands,it has become intergenerational in its scope, its like an infection. In the 1960's as a little child it was linked to ignorance, not malice.
I wonder if others on this forum are in a similar situation. I think its mostly to do with being disabled. In closing, malicious gossip and reputational damage are vey hard to prove and prosecute in law.
