Hi I hope you can help me,
I’m after some advice because I’ve been told so many things and don’t want to do the wrong thing.
I’m currently working full time but have been on and off sick, I am hoping to reduce my hours to 15 soon. I know the only way to apply for LCWRA is to have a sick note, however I don’t want to go on sick just to get LCWRA. Can you get a fit note for UC but still work full time while you wait for your assessment?

I am really struggling with my disability which is why I want to reduce my hours (I have fibromyalgia and ME), I just don’t to want to be off sick when I can just about push through (I work with children and they really rely on me).

To be referred for a work capability assessment with earnings of more than 16xNMW/week then you must be claiming a disability benefit such as PIP/DLA or ADP. If not then you can't be referred for a WCA, you would need to receive earnings of less than NMW/week.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply, I’m waiting to hear back from PIP. Once I do I’ll then be able to make a decision, but at the moment I don’t think I’ll be apply for LCWRA.
