Can anyone suggest a good careers advice service?  I'm relocating soon & want to change careers. My current job is becoming impossible due to my ill health but I also feel fed up with my profession & I'm need a change due to the staffing levels & cutbacks. I contacted Skills Development Scotland where the advisor stated he didn't know enough about my disability or profession to help me & referred me to the employability service. The advisor at the employability service just seemed keen on telling me all the support that can be put in place for me in my current role & just didn't seem to listen when I said I didn't want to work in the NHS anymore. I need a graduate level careers service with a interest or knowledge of disabilities & someone who will actually listen to what I want.

@Jgeek do you have any ideas on this?

Have you spoken to a Disability Employment Advisor?

Hello, can I ask what sort of career your interested in changing to? Also, where do you live?

@the_velvet_girl I would suggest contacting local universities and making use of their graduate careers contacts. in my experience most will be happy to assist. There is also Remploy, however I do not know if they are tailored to graduates,

    Hello,
I live in Scotland. I'm not sure what career I want to change to but I had considered doing an Administration course at college but wasn't able to get funding as I have a degree. I don't want to get in to any more debt. I hadn't thought of contacting Remploy but will look in to getting some advice from them. I did e-mail my old uni careers service but they were unable to assist as I graduated more than 2 years ago.
