So glad that I stumbled onto this site. In the past I have been a carer for my husband who had a stroke and mental health issues. Now my husband'so health is a lot better but I find that my health is deteriating and he now has to do things for me. It has been suggested to me to now claim pip for myself but having read how people are treated I'm filled with dread tbh so hoping I can get help on this site.

Hi @LouiseJHughes, welcome to the community, I hope you find it helpful. I'm sure there are many here that will be able to advise you on the PIP process and share their experiences. You might also like to try using our interactive benefits calculator, and if you have any questions our online benefits advisors are on hand to help.
