Enough is Enough

After 8 years of having zero mobility because of hyper-extended knee joints and a failed knee replacement, followed by a multitude of linked issues such as rotator cuff shoulders (extremely painful) and suspected polyps (I am still waiting for a hospital report, three weeks after a CT scan) - I now have puffed up ankles, lower calves - possibly the result of too high dose of amlodipine - which I am taking for high blood pressure (and successfully lowered it)…

Hopefully you'll be able to speak to someone tomorrow, hopefully tonight wont be too uncomfortable for you and the GP can sort something quicksmart for you. 😊

I've been told to stop taking the amlodipine and I have an appintment to see my GP on Monday - she wanted me to go today - but I have a nasty cold/virus that is adding to my woes - I have tested negative for covid luckily

I take amlodipine and candesartan for high blood pressure and also have swollen feet/ankles and calfs.

That's interesting - what does your GP say ?

Are you happy taking them ?

because it is a known side effect

I have been on Candesartan / Amlodopine combi for 3 weeks after purely Candesartan for many years and for the first time in ages - my BP was down to less than 120/80

Amilodipine and Doxisosin here with a third BP med to be added next week. I'd never heard of Doxisosin before but they asked if I'd consider going on a medical trial as nothing else worked. It seems to be doing it's job.

I had swelling in my ankles from biscoperol which was really painful as I'd just had surgery for a broken ankle. The staples were popping out with it. No swelling with this new combo
