Morning everyone, the weather has finally cooled \o/ although its rainy today. Did we all enjoy our 1 week of summer? xD
I'm just doing housework today so not doing much, might do some studying later on some online courses.
@talis & @Agulu & @Amberpearl sorry you had a rough night, nothing is worst than pain / needing the loo when your trying to sleep. Hope you take it easy today and hopefully get a better rest later tonight.
@Sandy_123 how are you feeling today? hope your throat feels better.
To everyone else hope you all have a good day whatever your plans are.

I forever study computing in my spare time, like I complete free online courses on various topics such as cybersecurity, networking, programming and just pay for the the exam if I want the qualification. I'm currently redoing my CompTIA A+ Certification at the moment.
I stay hopeful in the fact that one day I remain well enough to get a job and keep it without becoming unwell and ending in hospital again. So while I wait for that day I build up my knowledge and qualifications, also technology is always changing so you have to keep up with knowledge all the time on new developments. By this point though I'm prob overqualified for the jobs, now and then I get emails offering me positions and starting salary for my qualifications is £65k+ so I live in hope xD

Morning everyone! Sorry to hear so many of you had rough nights or aren't feeling good. Hope you can get some rest today ❤️

Yeah I'm the same with studying!! It's why I was interested in yours. I don't know if you do it for the same reasons, but it kind of feels like less of a waste of time being unemployed if you do something if that makes sense??
I was always good at computers when I was at school but I didn't love it so I dropped out and let my knowledge slide so I'm stuck in like the 2000s-2010s really when it comes to PC knowledge. It's a shame as like you say the salaries can be quite good, but I think it's more important to work in a field that makes you happy, especially when you have mental health to contend with. If you enjoy it though, which it sounds like you do, and you get paid well to boot, well that's like the best thing you could hope for when it comes to work I guess!!!!!!!

Sounds like a good excuse to have some icecream to ease your throat. Glad its improving though just take things easy still and take care of yourself. I'm good thankyou I'm managing to eat small meals now.

Wish me luck, I have a gp visit and I really hope that he will finally refer me to a psychiatrist, I don't know what I have to do to get to a specialist,

Yeah I really enjoy it, its my special autistic gift and special interest. I can do literally anything with a computer and if I don't know something I study it. Since I first ever logged onto a computer when I was little I learned all the ins and outs of it, taking it to pieces and rebuilding. Things have changed since then as my first PC was running on windows 94 xD

@66Mustang if you want a good website to use for free online computing courses, I can PM you a link to it. I won't post here for advertising

Ice Cream sounds good @rubin16
I shouldn't laugh but I heard an ambulance come out side my house with the sirens on. Which they usually turn them off on the estate. But was stuck behind a car, so watched the car swerve fast out the way. Then they turned sirens off again. Bet the driver was cursing

I don't know if you saw me mention this before but GCHQ were specifically recruiting autistic people at one point because they wanted to exploit the way some autistic people work and see things and stuff like that
They were offering all sorts, even like a special "handler" type person to make sure you were comfortable and had what you need, it sounds like reasonable adjustments but dialled up to the max because they just wanted to make sure you were able to do your job

Morning all.

Oh yeah, I got offered a job with GCHQ before when I was at college. I do regret not taking it up although I'm not sure they would accept me now with a diagnosis of schizophrenia. I turned them down originally as I would have to sign the secret act and basically not be able to say a word to anyone or where I worked and didn't want to live a lie.

Sorry just saw this post
Thank you for the offer, but a computer for me now I just want to know how to work it and stay safe ha ha
Do you know if the site does other subjects, or is it just for computing? I'm more into philosophy and stuff these days
I really appreciate the offer though!!!
