Hi can you please tell me if your intentions are for long holidays in advance before going abroad will u still get your benefits on UC for 1 month or it just stop straight away when you go outside UK for more than one month of holiday like 3 or 4 months ?
And if I go for 1 month holiday and come back then can I have to reopen the claim on coming back or I will get next month payment automatically without any problem ???
Or I have to inform them on coming back then they will pay me ?
Thanks

@cato512 as advised earlier in the thread if you go for longer than 1 month your UC will end.
You will need to reclaim when you return. You may also need to satisfy the Habitual Residence Test. I did post a link to this for you earlier in the thread.

Yes I get it but I am asking about that if I put the dates of long holidays like 3 months in report of going out side UK then still will I get one month benefits outside UK or as my visit is longer than one month before going so my benefit stop immediately

As you have been found to have LCWRA you do not need to report you’re going. You do need to report it once you’ve been away for more than 1 month. It will continue for 1 month.

I have a problem in this situation that when I am away from UK my sim card will not work then how I get the code to open the account of UC and report them ? That's why I am worried about it ?
And If I want to close my claim completely before going abroad can I close it by requesting them to close my claim because I am moving abroad ?? Will they close my claim if I request them or ask me why you want to close your claim as I am on lcwra ?
Thanks

You can log into your journal before you leave and request to close your claim, which I also advised you earlier in the thread. They will not ask questions why.
Or you can tell them you’re going away before you leave and that you’ll be out of the country for more than 1 month and your claim will close after that time.

And when they close my claim they send me message in my journal that your claim is closed now so I know about it ?
0 -
You won’t receive the message because by that time your claim will already be closed.

How many days before going I have to request that closure of claim ?
0 -
What date are you going and what date do you usually receive your money?
Once your claim is closed you will receive no further payments.

My payment date is 22 every month and I am planning to go In Oct this year the date is not final yet so what is your advice if my payment date is 22 when I have to request them
0 -
That means your assessment period dates are 16th to 15th of every month. Your UC entitlement is based on your circumstances on the last day of each assessment period. (15th of every month) if you request to close your claim before that date then you will not receive that payment on 22nd of the month.
The best time to close the claim would be from 16th.

So it means that if I request them to close my claim at 16th Oct I will never get 22 November payment?? But can I still get 22 Oct payment or not ?
0 -
That's correct. You would be entitled to the payment for 22nd Oct but not the payment for 22nd November because your claim would have closed by then.
