Thank you. Ok, so they've included the element in your statement, which is correct. That decision would have been made by a decision maker and not by the person in the service centre, who clearly doesn't know what they are talking about. If they had taken the time to look at your statement they would have seen it included already.

The money that's owed to you for the carers element will be paid as a separate payment. Before they can pay what is owed a case manager will need to recalculate your past statements to include this element. It's not usual for it to take quite a few weeks for them to do this.

Once that's done you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you how much they owe and it will be paid into your bank.

Thank you POPPY123456, you have been a great help to me. If they change the payment, I will ask you for advice for mandatory reconsideration. I will wait until Monday. Thank you all again

Sinica, your real name should be removed from the above post.

Those statements don't look like the real thing at all! Credit Universal?

My mum can't get carers as she is on pension and gets a tiny window pension. But she does everything.

But if I could find someone willing be live in they will pay if under 16 hours work etc.

Feel so bad . Carers get little despite having to do so much care hours. It's not minimum wage by any means.

    Family carers are saviours .....

Dear kc1978, family is always the best help and that is with you unconditionally. I don't think that a foreign person can take care of you in the same way as your mother. It's a pity that she can't receive financial help for her sacrifices.

You're welcome. It's been awarded so I can't see there being an issue.

    Your right.

Just wish they got the recognition. My mum is 73. In her retirement. I feel guilty.

I wouldn't be here without her.

But the fact she can't get is just so wrong. She wouldn't stop, even if I got someone. Mums are mum's after all.

Life just unfair. Disabled at 41-42, and now I wish I could sell my soul to go back and wake up from this like a nightmare.

Thankfully I got a few strong people and health professionals. So I have to try stay positive.

Hello, I'm coming to you again with a question. Another month has passed and I saw today that the caregiver element is added to the payment for September 5. But for the backdated payments, no answer. I filed an online complaint on August 12 and I don't know anything. Will they send me a written answer? Will I receive a message in the diary? I read that in 10 working days I should receive an answer. Can I call and ask about the complaint?

You can always call and ask for clarification, they will maybe only give an initial response in 10 days, they have quite a complex policy I found in terms of complaints, handling , times , the type of appeals if it's an administrative complaint or other.

It can then be logged . Ask for the complaints policy, as you need to speak to the right complaints team.

Good evening, after I made the complaint for the backdated payment for the carer element and I did not receive any response after messages in the diary and unanswered phone calls, I managed to find a person to listen to me and sent a message to a case manager to tell me answer. I received a message today that I have to change the date when I take care of someone with the date when the husband received PIP. I don't understand why, only in all the messages sent I said that I take care of him since I made the UC application but the PIP award I received it on March 7. The problem is that if I try to change my circumstances, it shows me that I have stopped caring for him or that I have taken leave. How can I do this?
