Hi @mags29 - & welcome to this friendly community. How are you today? 😊
-
Hi @mags29 😊 Welcome to the community.
We're really happy to have you. Are you enjoying the sunshine?
-
Yes, thank you.
-
@mags29 it's a bit colder today so hope you're staying warm! What brought you to our community? We have lots of categories where you can get some support and you can just have a chit-chat in our coffee lounge 😊 Let us know if there's anything we can help with.

Hi,
I am very bad with my mobility, suffer from seizures amongst other illnesses, I have received new forms to have my esa reviewed & my pip reviewed. Do you help people fill forms in ? If not could you please advise me of who can help me.
Many thanks
-
Hey there @mags29 I'm afraid we don't help with filling in forms, but I hear Citizens Advice do a cracking job, so it could be worth getting in touch with them?
-
Hi @mags29 - & also welcome to the community from me too. I feel we can help, & Citizens Advice do unfortunately get things sometimes wrong (if I can politely disagree with Albus)!
You mention a PIP review, &, depending on the severity of your seizures, & how your mobility is affected, perhaps we can help you more.
Other members will know more about ESA, but please let us try to help you….a bit more detail would help.

I have had seizures from the age of 14, I have been on esa since 2011. I went through a very bad divorce in 2008 which was through no fault of my own. I already receive the full rate for pip daily living and mobility. I hope you can help me or point me in the right direction of someone who can help me with forms.
Many thanks
Maggie

Hi @mags29, if there are no family members or friends available at all to help you could try your local Citizen's Advice? I know my local library also holds a session every fortnight with a benefits adviser.
-
Could you please advise me where your local benefits adviser is based please
Many thanks
-
Scope do not have a local benefits advisor. They have a helpline but that's telephone. Call:Â 0808 800 3333
For your forms you should treat both of them as new claims and give as much relevant information as possible. Also include a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened that last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you.
Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.
There's also guides available online that may help. PIP here
ESA here.
You can also check this link to see what advice agency is local to you.

Maggie, thinking of you as you navigate these health hurdles. Fingers crossed for positive reviews on your ESA and PIP applications, you deserve all the support you can get.
