Our potato plants were not liking how hot this weather is and were beginning to die back. So we decided to harvest them. A picture of some of the harvest! Yes, they are purple potatoes and they are partially people on the inside too!

Oh, I also disturbed this little fella. I made sure to leave him be though, didn't want to stress him out anymore!

finally got my garden improved this summer, and was delighted to then find a robin family had moved in! such an uplifting and very much needed happy event, mum (or dad) spent many hours sitting on the feeder taking it in turns to guard the chicks 🐣

Hi @Bluebell21 Thank you yes it has been a huge source of support having my recovery garden this past year. it was remarkable having robins nest so close - such a gift! 💝

Its fascinating watching ants farming those aphids @Jimm_Scope You can watch them pick the aphids up and carry them about. I always used to get them do this to my bean plants especially. I'd sacrifice a couple of plants to the ants just for that purpose. I've quite a few ox eye daisy plants which seem to attract the ladybirds so there is some sort of balance going on out there. The big fat lupin aphids have fed a large family of sparrows this year and there's been plenty of honey bees and bumble bees kept busy. The nasturtiums are covered in caterpillars but those big fat, orange frilled slugs have hammered the Hosta. There are a couple of toads out there but the fox has squished their little shelter where they land from jumping the fence. My gardening has come to an end for the year now, though I've been able to collect a few seeds already for hopefully next year.👍

It’s pouring down here today, but my garden is quite low maintenance due to disability.

I have been introducing low maintenance plants to add bursts of colour.

Just wanted to share this interestingly shaped tomato I grew in the garden. A few of my vegetables ended up a bit of a weird shape this year. I don't think I fed or watered them properly, but it's given me a good laugh. This one in particular stands out, it's a little cheeky 😂
