- Oh my! @Rosie_Scope I went so far as to super zoom in on that tomato 😂. I wanted to share a few photos I took this evening whilst having an evening stroll around the garden. I am so super pleased that these little insects are back!
- I think they are hummingbird hawk moths. I haven't had them in the garden for a couple of years , so super pleased to see them this evening! Those wings move so fast!!

Wow, so cool that you get the hummingbird hawk moths @onedayatatime!
We used to get lots of amazing red cinnabar moths in our garden, but we didn't get many this year even though I left the ragwort growing for the caterpillars. Not sure what happened there! We did get hundreds of bees this year though which is a good sign 😊

Just had a jasmine officinale clotted cream delivered today and absolutely thrilled with it.
First time buying plants online and wasn’t sure what to expect but it’s a good size and very healthy

Oh, that sounds really cool @Luchia. Do send a picture over when you're able!

This is the only really oddly shaped Banana Fingerling potato I grew this summer. Not quite sure what to do with it! I'm 77 years old and live in central Maine, US. We downsized in 2018, moving from an 1830s farmhouse with a 50 foot square garden to a small home where we added raised beds that were filled with compost from "Scrap Dog" (they collect one's kitchen waste weekly and trade it for a bag of the compost they create).

Oh blimey, that's a very unique looking potato there @Grammyof2 !

I hate to be the one to tell you this but…… that’s not a potato!!! It’s a Pod Potato from the planet Mars!!!!!
(sorry I couldn’t resist)
1 -
Would that make it a pod-tato then?

:O you know too much about the Aliens! Are you a Pod-Mod 😂
1 -
I'm actually a Pod-erator @Luchia but don't tell anyone!

Loving the wonky veg!😁 @Bluebell21 I didn't know that about the hawkmoth but it pleasantly made me very happy. I find the insects in the garden as fascinating as the flowers! @Rosie_Scope I've had a very cheeky fox visiting recently who's visiting both day and night. He's taken a very keen interest in my garden hose. This morning I've found it chewed up into 8 different pieces!! To add extra insult, he's left a very distinct odour at the back door. I read somewhere that white vinegar helps with this smell so have tried cleaning the concrete down with a bottle 👍 The downside is that it now smells like a chip shop and I fancy a portion of chips.😂

Lol @onebigvoice I use vinegar for everything cleaning

are those Sweet Williams? I’m currently growing some at the moment, such a lovely flower.
My Jasmine took a few days to establish but it’s showing signs of new growth now so can’t wait to see the flowers next year!
One of my Clematis is currently sneaking steroids lol it’s growing rather rapidly at the moment so might have to bind it to trellis more on the next decent weather day

Weirdly our clematis was also doing the zoomies recently. I think they've been enjoying the rain and sun.
I got to use one of my first home grown chillis yesterday, it was dead exciting!0 -
It seems to be the Clematis Montana that’s been affected the most, last few weeks it’s doubled in size and already reached the top of the trellis so now I’m training it onto the fence which was the plan but wasn’t expecting it to reach the fence so quickly.
The plan is to have one fence covered with Jasmine and another covered with Clematis Montana.
I think with how unpredictable the weather has been is causing a growth spurt with the clematis.
