in Universal Credit (UC)

My apologies is this seems a silly question, but my husband had been awarded LCWRA (effective from 12/07/2024). When will he receive his first payment? His first Fit Note was from 31st July 2024. Could anyone help?

    Hey @kittycat1976, it's not a silly question at all. It's one of the more common questions because it often isn't very clear or explained well when you're awarded! If you could answer Poppy's question we should be able to answer when the first payments will start.

    So from the time you submit the application you have to wait three months and after that you receive the payment

    If found to have LCWRA then the extra money is paid from the 4th month after you provided your first fit note, with first payment being the end of that 4th month. Providing there were no gaps in the fit notes. LCWRA element is not paid at all during that waiting period.
