    The day is rushing by today

    @Jimm_Scope Thanks… maybe I will..

    I got to bed about 11pm (long day), my upstairs neighbour - who rarely comes home, came home. He put his TV on loud at 5am this morning, so I only got a few hours sleep, have stayed in bed for hours after trying to sleep and haven't been able to, was a struggle to get up …

    I'm also fasting (it's good for you), which is challenging, I know I should do yoga because I haven't been, I need to go for a walk, but it's been raining all day…

    I have loads of stuff that needs to be sorted out…

    I've just let the council know that I have now got LCWRA, but it's stressing me out because I don't know if now I will have to pay council tax, also I didn't put from original decision (2022), because I'm not convinced I will even get my backpay, nor what actual date it will be from, nor the breakdown of the different amounts for different years… but the warnings they put at the end before you submit it, about it having to be accurate etc or you can be prosecuted, just raises the anxiety even more…

    I have got to a point where everything is really getting on top of me and I could do with a holiday, but I don't have the money (yet - i hope), my car is booked in for an expensive clutch replacement (not for another 3 weeks) and I feel like the DWP will penalise me even for that… given the LCWRA (ie, if you can book a holiday and go, you can do WRA)…

    It's all just to much.. 😥

    That all does sound pretty stressful @Autism_at_40, especially about being woken up 5am! That would really disrupt my entire day, never mind everything else.

    I will be honest, I've never tried yoga, but I also know I should really be exercising more. Do you have a yoga mat for doing it at home? I've been told by other people who do it that it's both exercising and calming, both things I could probably do with.

    I hope everything does get sorted okay with your council tax as well. It does feel like a lot of things lately are just being made to feel scarier for no good reason. I was on the train the other day and there were so many signs warning you that travelling on the wrong train would see you fined £100. Just felt like it was a bit much at the time.

    I wish I could give you some foolproof way to help not feel overwhelmed, but I've not found one yet. Breathing exercises sometimes help me when the feeling overtakes everything else, but not for that longer-term overwhelm feeling where it sort of hangs out in the back of your head.

    @Jimm_Scope

    I started doing yoga about a year ago and I can't recommend it enough… I shifted so much weight, started to feel really strong too (it's muscle building, but stretching too, gentle but intense if that makes sense?).

    Yes, I have a mat to do it at home. I have most of the yogaburn videos, she's really calming. Once you find an instructor you like, it makes it a lot easier…

    Thanks, but I hate breathing exercises, I think it's a sensory thing…

    I think I am just going to quit life for a bit..

    Thanks for the recommendation @Autism_at_40, I'll check yogaburn out. I think for me the calming is going to be pretty key.

    And I understand not liking the breathing exercises, I get sensory issues with other things. I hope you get better sleep tonight and perhaps tomorrow will be a nicer day.

    I sorted the cupboard out glad I did it to be honest. It's took me a week to try buy shelves off Amazon, I can't decide on shelves or a cupboard. So much to choose from and I do read the reviews
