Another member of the assembly has had a look and this doesn't sound like a bad thing at all - the job coaching service is open to outpatients receiving talking therapies for instance. This makes some of the headlines seem a bit sensationalist!

Slam is one of the biggest and best known specialist mental health hospitals trust in the country so makes sense they would trial there. The staff would not allow anything harmful.

Like I have said before I think it's a good idea because it would generally get more people into work who would want to be in work.

I find no disrespect talking therapies a waste of time sounds bad I was told to touch a wall focus on wardrobe oh I could go on and having a certain amount of sessions I would think severly mental health not referred to talking therapies they declined me because of cluster diagnosis s

Labour has not provided clear information regarding its plans for the Work Capability Assessment nor has there been explicit confirmation that they will fully adopt the Conservative party's proposals for changes to the WCA.

I agree that if Labour follows the original plans closely, there is no evidence suggesting that existing members of the support group will be affected. Typically, reforms protect current claimants from immediate changes. However, without explicit confirmation from Labour, it is important to monitor updates closely from the DWP and government websites.

A White Paper on the Plan to Get Britain Working is anticipated this autumn. With only a few weeks left in the season, it may be published soon, potentially alongside the upcoming budget. Please note that this is my personal perspective, and I have no concrete evidence to support the timing of the paper’s release. For more information, see the link below for the last government update on this subject, dated 10 September 2024.

exactly, that's why I said "if"

you're right though existing claimants get more breathing space 9 times out of ten.

I'm dreading that damn! paper, but remind myself it'll take a while to get to a stage it's an active law and will get amended along the way.

He can do one !!! I worked in mental health was a support worker worked job centre worked with youths elderly all of these jobs was overworked unsupported worse was job center the staff are treated like cattle have unrealistic targets to achieve the whole structure is toxic tired burnt out start resenting clients labelling them scroungers smelly lost all humanity and empathy I used to relate to clients I used to cry in toilets I couldn't bare it I left with no way of paying rent then worked with youths that was same staff labelled most as trouble makers from someone who wad in care and dyslexic didn't know I had adhd undiagnosed but 100 percent have we new some was being literally groomed and could do noting heart used to break could see no help I won't even say about treatment of elderly I got sacked for hitting member of staff for pulling lady hard from her chair how did I get on this subject ??? My point is in public sector work you go in wanting to make a difference but soon become apart of the toxicity same with DWP do a great job of dehumanising us plus I never know how I held jobs down
