in Start here and say hello!

I handed in my first fit note 12 Feb 2024 I have continued to hand them in without any gaps, I have only just had my assessment last month and have just been told I have been awarded lcwawra I'm just wondering when payments start because I don't understand assessment periods or anything and have been handing in fit notes since the start of the year I get paid on the 9th of every month

    Your waiting period will be March/April, April/May, May/June.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 3rd June to 2nd July and first payment will be 9th July.

    This assumes you're not claiming UC with a partner that already receives this element on your claim.

    Money owed will be paid as a separate payment and often takes quite a few weeks to pay it.

    So will this mean I should start getting this added on to my normal payments on my next payment day or could this also take some time as well and no no partner thank you for responding xx

    If the decision has only recently been made because you are very close to the end of your assessment period, there may not be enough of time to include the LCWRA element in your next statement. If this happens they will owe you an extra month.
