Did Rachel Reeves say that Labour have actually adopted the changes Rishis lot proposed for the Limited Capacity for work assessment so if you lack mobility or are incontinent or the job might be dangerous or you have mental health issues you will not get this?

    No.

    They've said they have committed to the welfare budgetary savings laid out by the previous Government, and will be reforming the WCA.

    They have not said they are adopting the previous proposals, and have yet to issue details about what changes they propose to make.

    Hmmm...what she said was that they are committed to the reforms proposed and thete will be further reforms later...not the same as what you say

    There was an article from a disabled lady on the big issue page saying that those currently LCWRA would be be stripped of this and the money taken away and told to look for work and how this would affect her financially and mentally.

    These are not her words but the gist of it as I could not find the article again.

    That's what I thought that it would affect only new claiments, I saw it this morning and was surprised and concerned as to why she thought this.

    it will only affect new claimants an those with big change of circumstances, for example big issue said in two articles about moving home, well nobody would need to be re assessed if they moved because that's got absolutely zero to do with their health or a UC50 form.

    At the top of the article just under the headline, she says "These measures will not affect current claimants, but they will impact those applying for the first time from next year, and anyone who comes off the benefit and then later reapplies for it or whose circumstances change"

    I also read it would affect you if you move home?! I've been considering moving because I don't like this area at all, it's depressing and adds to my mental health issues.

    Just a quick question, I send of my ESA 50 reassessment form recently, and know there is a backlog ? I just worried that these new measures, with be brought in before I am assessed, as the parts they are take out, are my main point scorers, or will they say with the form I filled in ?

    IF claiming now current LCWRA. UNDER tory proposal CHANGES kick in april 2025 for NEW claims to lcwra. EXCITING claimants still get LCWRA INDEFINATE . BE offerded & chance to work guareentee you keep lcwra £416 mounth up to six mouths , if u gave job up b4 6 mouths on health go back on lcwra no REASSETNMENT . VOLUNTARY so no pressure / sanctions to accept CHANCE WORK TO WORK GUARNTEE . STAY ON LCWRA INDEFIANT . NEW CLAIMS AFTER APRIL 2025. LABOURS 2024 GET BRATAIN WORKING PAPER MIGHT BE DIFFRENT THAN RUSHI/ CONservatives we have to wait see . YEP if u LOSE ur mobility u cant go far do much inc work= unit for any work work realate activity . SIMPLE but just like TORY, CONS labour 2024 cant / want except this . I Age 61 NOW CLAIM UC/ LCWRA .

    But not everyone will have been migrated by April 2025. They would technically be new claimants on UC?

    O god didn't think of that , so if you're no ESA and haven't gone over to UC but April 2025 ,your screwed,is that what your saying, as it be classed as a new claim ?

    @bench I've read online that we are not considered New UC claiments if we migrate over. I've Been looking for the link I read but now can't find it. 😕

    However I'm sure someone will beg to differ.But I definitely read we are not.
