Hello @aine81 and welcome to Scope's online community.
There is a three-assessment period wait ater you initially provide evidence to UC. You are allowed to self-certify for the first 7 days, so a decision-maker will decide whether your initial assessment period, from 30th July to 29th August, will count as the first one or not.
Either way, I don't believe you will be entitled to any backdated payment, but the decision will affect whether you receive LCWRA this month or next.
If it does count, your wait period would be:
- 30th July to 29th August (AP1)
- 30th August to 29th September (AP2)
- 30th September to 29th October (AP3)
- 30th October to 29th November (LCWRA awarded, with payment to be made on your usual UC pay date in December)
If it doesn’t count, you should receive your first LCWRA payment in January.

The element showed in their statement for this month but due to Transitional Protection eroding their money remained the same. Please see their other thread, linked above.

Thank you @poppy123456. I'm pleased the DM allowed the first AP, they make mistakes with this a lot.
