Awarded LCWRA and rewarded by LOSING almost £200 a month from UC

@h69 there’s no information at all about that hearing so I can only assume that a decision hasn’t yet been made.

It’s likely a very long process and even if a decision did go in the claimants favour any money owed will take time for it to be paid. This is usually the case with upper Tribunal cases.

@Poppyangel2004 i absolutely agree. I’ve written in my journal that I first want to request a Mandatory reconsideration on the grounds of discrimination ie referring to my above example regards how someone awarded LCW wouldn’t be penalised. That’s going back and forth at moment to even get them to allow me to do that - however I’m going to read the link that poppy12345 has posted regards what to do in this situation if MR refused (which will be a possibility for you too).
I will cite the same reason when I appeal too.

You’re welcome. I don’t think that you should use the LCW as an example though because those that have claimed this since April 2017 wouldn’t be entitled to any extra money anyway so would still be entitled to the carers element.
