Speculation about government changes for PIP..

There's also an article in The Telegraph today as well regarding this. We're going to see more of these headlines and speculation in the coming weeks from the media. The government hasn't yet said what cuts/changes are going to happen with disability benefits. We'll know in the Spring when we hear from the horses mouth so to speak. It's a worrying time for all of us. For my own sanity I'm going to try my best to switch off from the media/reading newspaper articles etc.

This has terrified me, why can't they stopped sending money abroad on useless net zero products. She has to go.

Having read the Telegraph and Daily Mail articles I can confirm it is the usual methods of instilling fear into us while causing more stigma and division (they use a small buzz line or word that sounds like their narrative and extrapolate that out into something that barely resembles that line while using "anonymous sourcing" to argue their opinions). The Daily Mail even had the audacity to reference The Telegraph's article!! Other outlets not so much on the right seem to be not pinning down cuts on this one area of welfare spending or not mention cuts at all.

I seriously like the rest of us probably need to stop looking at the news as the outlets will likely ramp up this content in the lead up any announcements in the spring. I would definitely also avoid the Reach PLC owned outlets who seem to be able to make an article from no information at all with a dodgy headline for clicks. If we all could resist clicking on any articles this will help reduce the numbers.

The higher the number of clicks, the more likely this kind of stuff will be published due to their SEO suggesting it is popular and therefore generates revenue for the publisher. The outlets do not care if you read it fully or not, they care that you have clicked on it for their 1p of revenue being paid per click.

The only source we can rely on is direct from the horse's mouth and finding other things to do during the lead up to any announcement is the best thing we can all do for our own health. If anything serious happens I am sure the moderators will inform us all in a more sensitive way than these large media corps would ever dream of.

The plans havent just changed, they already are planning cuts, that much is very obvious at this point, all of the following have happened.

Liz Kendall, has been ghosting all of her disabled constituents, and also rejecting offers from local press, and local radio to go head to head with a discussion with a disabled person.
Liz Kendall for several months has been posting repeatedly on her twitter, about getting back to work, and her plans. No details, but vague direction. She has also said repeatedly in public years ago she is anti keeping sick people out of work and has a belief its all about personal responsibility, in short she is a tory.
Liz Kendall voted for osborne's cuts without any whip instruction to do so.
The chancellor has already told parliament she will be making cuts to disability type benefits. By law this has to be truthful.
Liz Kendall has been doing private consultations on this.
Liz Kendall recently told the BBC directly she will be making the same savings as planned by the tories on disability benefits. Although not directly confirmed the exact way it will be done.

My view is anyone involved in these private consultations should make it clear any plans to "reduce caseload" are a red line and should refuse to publicly back any reform that does that. No claimant should be treated as collateral damage for any deal made.

I am sorry for those who still refuse to believe Labour will do anything, I dont know what to say on that. But they not saving 3 billion by being pushy on the youth only, and there has been far too many statements and signs to say otherwise. What I will say is I dont think these plans are new, they the same existing plans, and this financial problem, has just provided an excuse to justify them.

It's on the GB news site now, I suppose all the news outlets now will run with it untill the government finally make their minds up and tell us their plans officially.

I think what people are failing to grasp is they are not talking about reducing the money you get. To do that would take an extremely long time. I still believe they are talking about things like making it harder to get pip, reforms in who is awarded etc, that is the way they will save billions. When they talk about reducing they are talking about reducing the amount of claiments etc
