Hi Pandapaws and everyone + Happy New Year! Sorry I've been away so long, not been feeling too good lately but improving now : ) Pandapaws you're so talented, those portraits could step purring straight out of the screen, such beautiful cats : ))) And I know from their eyes, they had a really happy life with you : )))

It's really hard when they cross over the rainbow, isnt it? They're just like little kids, so trusting, and their whole life is in your hands… You're obviously a great mum Pandapaws, so hope another little fur being comes into your life before long. Sooty is one of those cats that found me, rather than the other way round. He's still sleeping in his shelter! Too scared to come anywhere indoors unless you leave the door wide open + don't go between him and the door. The most anxious cat I've ever known. But he seems pretty healthy none the less so maybe he'll learn in time that not all humans are evil…!

@WhatThe she has three scratch mats but has the odd scratching posts she shouldn't be using lol. She is a princess alright tells my dog off with a pat on his head when he's up to mischief.

Oh, she is sweetie then (my furniture is ruined!)

My old love used to be Walking and Camping, having learned about to appreciate the great outdoors when I lived in a Boarding School on the boarders of Cumbria, Yorkshire and Lancashire. Wherever I went I would always take my time to take photographs, sometimes I could walk over twenty miles in a day. It used to be my source of escape for my Mental Health, sadly due to an injury I picked up walking six years ago alongside now having Arthritis and Long Covid amongst many other things that has been curtailed to say the least. I now use Lego Building as a coping Strategy, if my brain allows me to, I’d pick up a book up out of the 150+ that I’ve got - I was always told at Junior School if I was ever in a bad place to go down to the library and just read a book and I’ve pretty much carried one everywhere with me since. I tame my mind by practicing mindfulness and practicing the Dharma of The Buddha. I also enjoy just sitting and painting my nails black or purple, I normally pair that with black or purple lipstick, then have eye makeup like Alice Cooper with a Kilt, Dr Martens, Leather Jacket, Band Patches Denim Jacket and either a Rock or Heavy Metal Band T Shirt. I’m not afraid to admit at 41 years old I sleep with a stuffed sloth at night due to my mental health, I’ll normally if I’m watching tv I have a fidget cube or spinner in my hand. At the moment I’m really stuck in a rut, I don’t leave my flat, unless necessary, I’ve got two lego sets in storage and two wanting a rebuild after my ex wife ended our marriage in October 2023. I’ll sometimes fire up the PS5 and play on an F1 Game or go on Fifa for an hour. But other than that I’m just stuck in a huge rut of sitting on the sofa watching tv 😔 I tend to over eat or under eat and it depends on which way my mental health is on each day, sometime I’ll get paid and can blow over £80 on takeaways in 3 days just because I’m just not in the mood or have the energy to make any food, which I’m ashamed of. I need to lose at least another two and a half stone and do some gentle exercises in the house, but just finding the motivation to do so is brutal at times! I’ve got to try and put a line in the sand, say to myself you have two reasons to do so :- 1 - Health Reasons - many foods my stomach just can’t tolerate and throws a tantrum if I do eat them.

2 - I’m hoping to travel alone to Cape Verde next year.

They are an amazing breed of dog, my old boy was a x with a Whippet. Sadly I’ve not seen him since October 2023 as he now lives with my ex wife. Never barked, wouldn’t say boo to a goose, soft as muck, ran like a whippet and pulled like a Staffy.

I had a Staffy/Jack Russell before Gus. You are so right about them.
