    Just seen a clip on Youtube. Sam Renke made some good points. The government and the DWP want more disabled people in work, but they need to invest in infrastructure to make work accessible for disabled people.

    plus, PIP helps disabled people who are in work, actually get to work.

    Vogue would you be able to provide the source from the government saying PIP may be means tested or is this speculation? I would like make a reference to it when writing to my MP. Many thanks.

    What did they say i seen part of checking accounts can take phone laptops search your house if suspected fraud now we know dwp dont play fair how many innocent people get caught in this has this passed been in bed 3 days feel for dogs i cant move and also having pets dwp say you can work god pls give us a break its unbearable they have broke me

    They have declared they will make 3 billion savings regardless...so they'll have to change who gets it..everything else is hot air…the vast majority of new claimants are mental health..so they'll disallow that and other descriptors by removing them and put the onus on the claimant.. who may be very ill I deed...they'll offer no or little support becuase it costs and claim they checked with dusabled peoples needs

    My opinion, and its only an opinion, if the DWP want to get disabled people back into work, then who will pay for the adaptions to allow this to happen?

    The way forward as far as the government is concerned is to get people to "volunteer" there hours or skills at no cost to them….. Sounds harsh? But how many people around the country are caring for loved ones or children unpaid? and untrained? Assessments are completed by assessment companies because they are not medical assessments, so how can your opinion of what you think an outcome of a spacific disablement can be if you have no medical background?

    Just a thought……

    And I also saw the news this morning, found it quite interesting as to where these jobs are going to come from. Also for people in my neck of the woods (Cardiff) Sir Dr. Frank Atherton Health Minister (I think that was his title) is stepping down. Are we getting close again……

    I saw Andy Haldane (Economist) being interviewed for Sky yesterday and although he didn't touch on this particular subject.Alot of what he was saying did make a lot of sense.Taking myself as an example,I am not a healthy fit disabled person.He said that businesses would be looking to employ healthy people ( which obviously makes sense).By the government trying to steer people who are too ill or perhaps maybe like myself too unhealthy too work is not the greatest idea.I know we haven't as yet even seen the proposals yet and are anticipating alot of what is to be in the format.But we all know the likely hood of some changes because of the situation we are in.
