Hello
Can anyone give me any tips on how to manage fatigue? I have mild CP, 26years old and work part-time. And yet I'm still exhausted most weeks. I'm fed up now, no matter what I do I always seem to be using up my energy levels and never recouping enough.
I used to work full-time, play sport and swim regularly. I still go to yoga when I have the energy to drive there.

I have rheumatoid arthritis and suffer from fatigue. I pace myself so that I don't become exhausted. Try not to do more than you can cope with. Also, ask your GP for a blood test to check if you are anaemic. For energy I take vitamin B12 tablets and multivitamins with iron daily. Once a week I take a single mineral iron tablet instead of the multivitamin with iron. Also prescription testogel but you probably are too young for that.

Action for M.E have a great introduction to pacing resource, which may be useful to those with other conditions, too. Chronic fatigue is one of my own most debilitating symptoms but I've found learning proper activity management and pacing strategies with an OT to be one of the most helpful things for me!0

I have ME but it has eased recently thank goodness but i used to get very tired. sometimes i felt like all the energy had been sucked out of me. even doing the simplest things left me exhausted. i found pacing myself hard but you have to learn to listen to your body.2

Hi Hannah,
Has your fatigue changed or worsened?
One of the best things I found es having a pain management course, we learnt all about pacing and I found it very helpful. It was a long wait but really worth it for me.
I have problems with fatigue for a different reason now (new, uncontrolled condition) and I find that scheduling tea and rest breaks forces me to stop and take care of myself.
