Requested reasonable adjustment - got discharged.

Hi all,

Two questions for you.

One - Has anyone ever been discharged from an NHS service, simply for asking for a reasonable adjustment? If so, what was your experience and did you manage to sort it out/get the treatment you needed.

Two - Can anyone who's had to challenge the failure to provide a reasonable adjustment tell me what kind of solicitor I would need to get in touch with?

Been through the complaints procedure, and it's been a complete joke and their reason for discharging me is completely baseless as the adjustment isn't asking them for anything that's in any way difficult for the service.

Solicitors I've spoken with so far can't seem to decide if it's a medical/clinical negligence issue, or if it's a equality/disability rights issue. Law Service has been no help either, so I'm hoping to find someone here who might be able to offer some insight.

    Have you asked ACAS for advice or signposting? I imagine there must be NHS disgruntled employee forums somewhere on the internet too. Good luck.

    hi there I'm a trainer from the Oliver Mcgowen Mandority Training for autism and learning disabilities and hospitals are supposed to make reasonable adjustments for those who need them. Can I ask what adjustments you need please?
