Upcoming changes to benefits

Thanks.. I transferred from PIP to ADP last year, I’m on 5 year award now ? It did take ages, huge backlog as you say.. but I liked that they went through my medical notes, spoke to Rheumatologist, Psychologist etc.. my points actually went up because it was done with fine tooth comb. The wait was scary but the assessment was accurate in the extreme.

The Times again being briefed by Labour, it's bloody sickening how they keep briefing them or "leaking" to them. Labour are just spiteful cowards at this point, they know exactly the hurt and worry which is causing people and they don't care.

What a spiteful group of nasty cowardly bullies, making the most vulnerable in society who are already on skidrow even further up the creek.

Honestly I just give up, if it wasn't for my grown up daughter and my cats, I just go.

My conditions are going to get better. It was through working I developed one in the first place. My main pip enhanced is my struggle with autism. My daughter the same, she works been through abuse through the years, seeing my mum die, losing my sister and brother within 2 years. I have ptsd. Now this. The stress is causing my conditions to get worse.

I just read that times article, i think im gonna be sick. I have autism and ADHD, im absolutely terrified to death and scared so so much

I read MPs who were called to the number 10 meeting weren’t given any real details so they don’t have any reassurances. If that’s the case what does it mean for the times article ? If it’s true then they must all have some idea as it seemed rather brutal

There is much in what you say re new MPs. Of the 35 who signed the pro-Starmer letter, Phillipson (she of the purple hair!) was the most well-known. NOT the party heavy-hitters to say the least. One MP later asked for her name to be removed too!

I don't understand why The Times is free to access online this weekend when it is not normally free to access.

Worth reading if you haven't already. The message, I think, is that we should not get disheartened - the appearance of quiet in the next few days does not mean this has all been agreed. Possibly a long haul ahead though.

I’m wondering if labour leaked the story to the times to see what the reaction would be . This way they can make changes and deny the report was ever true. If they are bringing those changes in regardless why not just tell their back benchers . I just watched an interview with an MP called Emma ( can’t remember last name). She said she didn’t know about the changes suggested in the times but if they were true she couldn’t agree to them . Labour are disgusting , leaving us worrying so they can test the waters imo

'Loyalty' to Starmer will evaporate the minute the polls tank. Let's not lose heart, he's the Prime Minister now but he won't be forever. Johnson won a landslide for the other lot after they'd been in for almost a decade. They booted him out two and a half years later. I suspect loyalty to 'Sir Keir' within the party is pretty shallow. There's no doubt Streeting and Rayner would both like his job. They have (reportedly) both expressed unease about this.
