Get your MP to act against cuts

I don't mind doing, but find it concerning, can't ut be used against us by MPs?
Not sure the kind of people we are dealing with ie Government?

This is true.
Many disabled people are being driven by distration and despair at these looming disability cuts, it beggars belief, that a Labour Government that is supposed to be the party of the working class, would brutally dismantle the disability benefit system, and cruelly inflict such financial and mental carnage and trauma on the most vulnerable in our society..
And we all know, this Government has a £2.7 Trillion National Debt, or at least should know.
Maybe if they stopped sending billions to Ukraine and spending a king's ransom on illegal immigrants, we wouldn't be seeing this devastating and callous plundering of disability benefits for British citizens.😠

Yes, As you suggest,I haven’t stopped emailing my MP, despite receiving no responses. However, I must admit, I have this underlying fear of feeling exposed and too visible, knowing they now have my exact address. I worry about being further victimized—even though I logically know that wouldn’t happen. 😰

There is literally no point my emailing my MP. He's a tory, he's been in position for a long time, and while he has acted in the past, his response when I asked him about the tory's proposed cuts and bank account monitoring was frankly unacceptable.
Good luck to everyone contacting MPs who might actually make a difference in the debate :/

There was a template to use to email your MP about benefit cuts with a link straight to it. Anyone have any idea which discussion it was in so that I can use it. It was really good but I didn't have time or the energy to do it yesterday. Thanks

My MP is Liebour and useless.

I believe charity begins at home. If we can't look after the most vulnerable in our society, because we are spending billions on a far away war that does not concern us, and splashing billions on economic migrants, then it is no wonder the kitty has run dry to look after our own British people.

The Ukraine War has absolutely nothing to do with us, in fact we are risking WW3 by constantly interfering in a foreign war. If we weren't splaffing out billions on these neocon wars and daily floods of illegal immigrants, we would be able to maintain our current benefit system at decent levels, and be able to reduce our National Debt, that's a win win situation for the British people, and for responsible Governmental fiscal policy.

Come to put my twopennorthworth in, for what it's worth 😌.
The 'West' helping Ukraine is absolutely the right thing to do imo, as if it's not bad enough seeing the slaughter of Ukrainians on our doorstep but to stand by and do nothing isn't an option. And whilst you're perfectly entitled to your opinion I will respectfully, and strongly, disagree. Thank god we 'interfered' in the 30s otherwise we'd all be speaking German now.
Providing support to Ukraine and providing the right support to our vulnerable people are not mutually exclusive - it's all about choices and Labour are clearly making some seriously wrong choices in thinking they can treat the sick and disabled here so shabbily: where there's political will there's a way.

@kitsmum This is the one I used : Ask your MP

@Ranald ,While your point is valid and deserves respect, the big moral question in this debate is whether supporting Ukraine should be prioritised at the cost of stripping vulnerable citizens of their benefits.

I'm sorry to hear this! Is it saying your postcode is invalid?
Edit: I'm now aware there was a server error over the weekend. The page should hopefully be working now, but please do let me know if you get an error again!

Sounds like it’s hit or miss with these MPs, judging by your experience and that of other members. Some of them seem more loyal to Starmer than to their own constituents. However,I’ll continue sending emails, at least for them to keep a log of how many they’ve received since this whole scaremongering act began under the current government.
Thanks for asking about me. As I mentioned in my other posts, I have some blood tests and steroid injections later this evening. Apart from that, it’s pretty much a rest day for me. How about you?

Hi Tori,
Just had an email from our MP he's made space in his diary to see you all in Parliament on 2nd April. He's a liberal, and so far they've been pretty keen to criticise Gov plans. He's a decent bloke so will hopefully be very receptive : )

@Catherine21 just standard steroid injections with local anaesthetic. Haven’t gone that far to win “liquid Gold injections” 🤣
