one I’ve just read is PIP is going to be means tested all starting to worry a lot of people

They had remploy, for disabled people and then Cameron came in got rid off of it, putting them unemployed, Business aren't taking on apprenticeship especially with reeves budget fiasco

Hopefully the ongoing judicial review will be successful and charities and disabled activists will be able to find grounds within this dreaded bill to legally challenge

It would be quite ironic for then to do that, considering they condemned the Tories when asking them would they make pip means tested and the Tories wouldn't answered. But hi this Labour government is full of nasty surprises

I’ve read it today huge panic that I could lose my pip that I have fought hard to get what about people who have in last few weeks been awarded pip to then worry they may lose them

@philevan77 someone said earlier in this forum around 12ish. Hopefully it is doomed ti failure.
Does anyone know what will happen with current pip awards? Will they likely be pulled and re-assessed using the new criteria?

Be a lot of work to reassess 3.6 million people ? I’ve got 10 year award

@philevan77 that's what I'm hoping. Wow I've read that 10 year awards get "light touch reviews", well under the current legislation at the minute anyway. I'm on a 7 year award, awarded in may 2024, with being contacted around May 2030 one year before it expires for the review. I really hope they don't pull existing awards! The stress and worry of them is awful!

Hi @Andi66 Are you talking about PIP? Means-testing in accordance with income and/or savings or via taxation hasn't been much in the media. @philevan77 mentioned they'd come across something but they've failed to respond to my request for a link or a sound source of information. The Green Paper is anticipated around midday.

Yes, I'm already scared, fir myself and my daughter, she's on pip, she works but has autism, bpd, and now eye problems. So I'm fearful for her as well

I didn't hear anything at all about pip being means tested either.
They seem to be really gunning for younger people with mental health issues

does anyone know how you get awarded a 10 year awards? I thought it was for ppl on highest for care and mobility but I’m that and get short term awards .
