I think everyone on here has been very supportive of each other. You’ve all kept me sane these last feed days . Hopefully tmrw won’t be as bad as we were expecting and we can relax a bit 🤞🙏

if it has just been rumors though why has labour ministers not shot them down as not factual and instead borderline confirm the rumours are along the correct line?
This last week has been hugely damaging to labour and will have lost them a number of voters they have no chance getting back - why allow that damage to continue if people are getting upset with policy that may be proven to be mostly fictional tomorrow
I honestly think the itv leaks from 10 days back were pretty accurate - what I don’t know are if any edits have benn made to the green paper doc since (prehaps the final version is still being worked on by treasury & dwp at this late hr?)

maybe they aren’t changing the criteria ? That would be good news

Only time will tell. My stomach is turmoil just thinking about it. I'm trying to sleep but just can't. I'm dreading tomorrow.

But even more damaging if they actually go ahead with the changes . They’ve never confirmed anything and MPs who were summoned to the meetings said they weren’t told anything. Even streeting denied knowing their plans . The leaks must of been discussed at the meeting surely ?

Oh I didn't take any offense.
I'm just so sorry that you experienced that. X

Good night all.
I hope you manage to get some sleep. X

it’s just life isn’t ? I’ve been in day surgery and had wonderful care and laughed with my nurse all day . My most recent experience was amazing and certainly not the broken NHS I read about in msm.

My degree was in MA Economics, and I thought this before any head bangs. It comes down to fractional reserve banking, that allows multi billionaires to control the economy by printing money based on few real assets in their favour, ie they can loan £98 based on a £2 deposit (there's no limit anymore I think) and then be able to print more funny money to buy people's assets on the cheap when the poor default. Only 5% of the UK is owned by private housing, most is owned by the government and gentry. The people in government may go in there with good intentions, but the high life and rich peoples bubbles turn them as bad. An MP in my city told officials she had a quote a 'fairly basic level of subsistence' according to The Telegraph. The way the benefits bill has rocketed shows something is not right, but until they identify and address the government has no right just to ad hoc attack and reduce the support. I also do think there's an issue with how mental is addressed in terms of benefits and treatment. Straight after my second head injury, I was hallucinating and had very distressing intrusive thoughts / sounds and in a really bad way, and ended up trying about 14 different anti depressants / anti psychotics with no beneficial effect and lots of negative effects… so much so I reckon they made me worse. Standard treatment for this type of thing unfortunately. During this time, I went from posh boy green welly uni to working as a builders mate, which worsened back issues. I have no idea if the suggestion of over awarding mental issues is true, but I had to get to the point of a medically observable neurological issues over time to get a proper award, on top of not claiming for 9 years as said, so something is very wrong with the rocketing claims in such a short time by my experience. For so many people to suddenly to become ill in such a short space of time is statistically odd.

secretsquirrel, the leaks were discussed on last night's Newsnight. Guests included Ellen Clifford and Baroness Chakrabarti.
Tune in tonight for analysis of the Green Paper.

that’s what I mean . They know what the leaks said but deny knowing what’s in the green paper. If the leaks are correct it shows them all as liars especially streeting as he outright denied knowing what’s in the green paper

I absolutely cannot sleep, I’m in turmoil over here. The anxiety has my mind racing. I’m worried sick that I will not be able to afford to stay in my home - the home i grew up in, my mother passed away in 23 and living here helps me feel close to her. The thought of having to leave is breaking my heart, I have young children. How do I clothe them, put shoes on their feet, I have no one to fall back on, not a single other family member.
no friends, no village - I have my husband but he to is unwell. He’s buried his head. The only other oerson I speak to is my support worker. I e lost my temper today and have the worst mum guilt. I could throw up. I’m rambling, I’m sorry - I’ve just no one else or nowhere else to go.1 -

A dissolution is allowable, or necessary, whenever the wishes of the legislature are, or may fairly be presumed to be, different from the wishes of the nation." The monarch could force the dissolution of Parliament through a refusal of royal assent; this would very likely lead to a government resigning

Bad News.
The Guardian is saying Wes Streeting, Rachel Reeves and Sir Keir Starmer are going full steam ahead with utterly savage and inhumane cuts to the Disabled Benefits. 😵

That article on Newsnight is a hit piece. Two eloquent and well dressed ladies with mental health issues who work is not reflective of many on PIP and UC. Not downplaying their condition but to the average Joe it's not a decent look.

I was thinking the same as I watched it. Why couldn't they get me with my Becker Muscular Dystrophy in there? Oh sorry, that might upset people and go against the image of scrounger they want to portray.
