Yeah a bit of a weird thing to reply to me with sounding very bitter old codger. There have been a number of post I’ve come across myself on here with situations pretty much identical to mine that were paid without a problem, thanks Poppy123456 for your input.

No problem. Indeed and rightly so. There’s been many threads here over the years where members have received money owed because they weren’t claiming SDP when they were entitled to it.

Also I doubt they would have told me they are looking back at all the years as it’s a historic case if they weren’t trying to calculate what they owed from those years, surely they would of just said sorry we don’t do arrers in your case.

No, they wouldn’t have just said no without checking your circumstances. They won’t know for certain until they assess your claim.
It has been known for some to think they were entitled but weren’t. (I’m not saying you’re not entitled)

As anxious as I am about this I needn’t be because I know I fit all the criteria as I’ve said before, comments like old codgers just not necessary wasnt Tryna add any help or advice, but nothing is certain so I’m not getting ahead of myself, all I know is from what criteria is I should be ok. My case isn’t even complicated like some I’ve read where people have moved addresses or lived with other people and weren’t sure if they qualified. And they still ended up with payouts.

I can hear that, however anxious you may be, you are trying to reassure yourself that it will all be ok @sd100. You are doing so well clinging to hope. Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything we can do to support you  :)

Thank you, this site is so valuable to people it has so much information and you can learn so much from hearing of others experiences, and also maybe be able to help others with their concerns by adding your own experiences to any questions asked. Obviously there will be some input from people that adds no help at all, but I’d like to think it’s because their situations had different circumstances and they not coming from a place of malice.
