Are you caring for someone?0 -
Then I'm sorry but you can't claim Carer’s Element.
Have you claimed PIP for yourself yet?0 -

Have you had your work capability assessment yet? What about PIP, have you started a claim?0 -
i didn’t have the work capability assessment yet because they called me that they needed to cancel the appointment because they didn’t have assessors available and this appointment is postponed to take a place next month
regarding pip yes the form was sent and i got a message today from independent assessment service that they will contact me about
i cannot cook for myself and other things as well0 -
Keeping everything crossed for you for your assessment next month! 🤞
I am worried when you say you cannot cook for yourself, do you have any support around you to help with that? Are you eating?0 -
@Hannah_Scope Thank you
no i don’t have any support with that that’s why im really scared that they will take me to care home i was ordering ready meals but it’s very expensive i have no interest for cooking at all , i only drink tap cold water0 -
@Hannah_Scope this place where i live does make me much more unwell i don’t have motivation at all0
-
@agnia They won't just take you into a care home, you are going through the assessment process and will hopefully get the help you need
I would encourage you to have a look across social media. There are quite a few "influencers" who are showing how to do really easy meals that are cost effective. YouTube is a great place to start. You may find something that works for you. I would also have a look at other supermarkets if you are use to just using the one, to see if their prices fair better across the ready meals.0 -
Did you refer yourself for a needs assessment?

@Hannah_Scope Im sorry Hannah im not coping with cooking at all im taking medication but it doesn’t help me , im not able to order ready meals because it’s very expensive , i don’t feel any motivation and interest0
-
i didn’t refer yet im scared to do it0
-
There's nothing to be scared of. You will not be put into any care home. They are there to help you. If you need help then you have to reach out for it because it's not just going to come to you.

@agnia Here is the link to apply for the needs assessment.
We also have a page on accessing free food and food banks, which you might find helpful to read. This includes some information on getting free or cheap food without a referral, as well as a with a referral.

Have you ever reached out to anyone like SHOUT before? They are a 24/7 mental health texting service. A great help for when I have felt anxious.0
