There's no such law here saying anyone must cook, clean or do anything.

How does it work here in uk if someone is not cooping with everyday life what they do with this person , im not able to afford a private carer0
-
That's where the needs assessment comes in
Services can include:
- home care help with things like cleaning and shopping
- disability equipment and adaptations to your home
- day centres to give you or the person who cares for you a break
- day care for your child
- help with parenting, such as parenting classes
- care homes
Your local NHS service, Citizens Advice Bureau or a charity might be able to help you apply for a needs assessment.

Thank you for replying
i don’t know what happens if im not able to walk through the stairs and this place where i live is on the second floor it’s from private landlord im not going outside im just staying in this place all the time
what happens if i need a wheelchair but there is no lift in this building
i don’t know what happens with me it’s really makes me scared
and how to move from here0 -
If you want some help then you have no option but to refer yourself for a needs assessment. The waiting list could be quite long so the sooner you do this, the sooner you get yourself on the waiting list. Someone will then come out to assess your needs.

my neighbours are very noisy they shouting it’s makes me really anxious and more depressed i tried different antidepressant and they didn’t work , my neighbours behaviour gives me panic attack
i do rent privately it’s not from the council its really affecting me
i was calling Samaritans 2 times a day in the past and when i tried to call them again i did hear the voicemail that they are concern about the amount of minutes were spending from my number for calling them and couldn’t talk to anyone from Samaritans for one month and i felt really low then i gave up because it was too much everything0 -
I’m not aware of there being a maximum amount of times you can ring the Samaritans.Yes, I remember you’ve said quite a few times about your neighbours.
If you won’t refer yourself for a needs assessment then I’m afraid there’s not much more anyone can do to help you.0 -
i was really getting this information when i was calling Samaritans
they are a really kind and nice people but i was really getting this information from their voicemail
when i was calling 116 1230 -
I couldn’t see on the Samaritans website where it says about limiting calls but I think I’ve heard about that before. It’s not done to be horrible but I think it’s similar to what it says on the website about Shout where you can text for mental health support:
“Shout is not a service that can provide regular, ongoing support and so if you have had 20 engaged conversations within 60 days, or 5 engaged conversations within 48 hours, we will let you know that we will need to limit your conversations to one conversation every 48 hours.
Please always call 999 if your life is at imminent risk.“

That’s ok and don’t worry if you call for a needs assessment. They don’t just all of a sudden tell someone they have to go to a care home. In actual fact even from the financial side of things the local authority will always try the cheaper options first, plus of course the least restrictive for you. They would look at any aids you could use first to help your independence or support with trying to get you a higher priority for social housing if they feel somewhere else would make it easier for you to be independent and in better health and happier. If they felt you need care they would want to offer home care first, someone dropping in to help with cooking or prompting you to take medication, and where possible working alongside you to learn the skills yourself. A care home would be their last resort. My new care home I’m moving in to within the next couple of months, social services told my mum that it’s costing them over £2000 per week to meet my needs there, so they won’t force you to go somewhere like that unless they really have tried everything else. It’s cheaper for them to put me there than to pay for enough support at home but it really won’t be a decision they make lightly.0

@Adrian_Scope Thank you
im really scared
im a private tenant not a council tenant i would like to move from this place to a different borough
its really hard
i did read that renting from a private landlord is more risky and unprotected than being a council tenant
and that the council can make the decisions that i made myself homeless intentionally0 -

If you refer yourself for a needs assessment as we keep advising then there could be some help out there for you.You will not be placed into a care home by having a needs assessment so there's nothing to worry about there. The reason it's more risky renting privately is because there's more of a chance that landlords can sell the property you're living in.It's also not easy being housing by social housing, especially if you're a single person with no children.0 -
Thank you for response
im really unhappy at this place and at this borough
i was experiencing decision fatigue and a huge burnout
i am worried that the council can make this decision that i made myself intentionally homeless if i move from this place
i don’t know how to move to a different borough and that social services will not help me to find another place from private renting and to get a social place is really hard
i wasn’t leaving England for a long time because i did work a lot and it’s a one of the reasons that effected my condition

i was discharged from the therapy and i didn’t have energy and enough strength to request another
socjal prescriber was reffing me to another but they did not respond to her referral
i really wanted to see my family abroad but they didn’t want me to visit them and to be with them it’s another reason that does affect my condition very much
