Not a problem @roglin55, sometimes we try our best to crop things in photos, but little bits still get shown.0

@Hannah_Scope @Hannah_Scope Any news ? Well I’ve had a assessment out the blue and I’m not happy about it made me so anxious started asking me how I care for my 11 year old who’s in secondary school how do I bathe her ? She bathes her self she’s 11 how do I make packed lunches she has school meals how does she get to school she goes with friends how do I care for her ? Can anyone explain what 11 year old gets bathed by their parents I mean if they had a health condition or disability then of course but I didn’t say I was incapable of looking after her I have health conditions that is not effecting me as being a parent made me feel so low they was not listening to me explain kept cutting me off I thought the question was about me and how it effects me as I’m cooking she asked do I cook everyday I said I cook she said is it everyday so I asked what she ment she said from scratch then I said I no meaning I’m not making pasta /sauces from scratch I thought that’s what it ment ,because I thought she ment me , cos have freezer food like pizza chicken nuggets chips for my child but didn’t say this part as it’s ment to be how it effects me and she wouldn’t let me explain on most of the questions she just kept moving on then she said how much do you cook for yourself so I was confused the questions where quite extreme and now I’m worried that there saying I can’t look after my child when I can0

Hello zoet1zoet1 said:I’m worried that there saying I can’t look after my child when I canIf you are not happy with the descision then you are entitled to do a Mandatory Reconsideration and it is very strongly advised to not telephone to start your MR but put it in letter format. You need to have the descision letter first before you do a MR.Hope you get the descision you are entitled to but if you do not then all is not lost.Hope that helpsNasturtium0

@nasturtium thank you so much for replying I’m just genuinely worried and my anxiety was hitting the roof as the call was out the blue no letter or nothing had a panic attack on the phone she’s was really abrupt to me I think that’s why I was more nervous thank you so much do you know how long I should wait to request a copy of report ?0
-
@zoet1. Aww well if she phoned out of the blue think that means you had a paper based assessment. How long was she on phone for .they won't think you can't look after your daughter .when you receive a message to say they now have your report you can then ring helpline and ask for a copy so you can have a idea .I felt they were trying to catch me out on things but the report she did was in my favour .fingers crossed for you zoet1.
I had phone call this morning I been awarded enhanced on both x0 -
The report I had was in my favour but still got refused but good luck ive just posted my mandatory reconsideration back here's hoping0
-
Keep in touch @zoet1, that sounds like a harrowing experience.
I don't think they were questioning your ability to look after your child. That is not what PIP is for, they were just trying to get more information about how you are affected to try and make a decision. Remember you always have Mandatory Reconsideration and Tribunal Appeals to turn around a bad decision!
There's some good advice on how to go about the Mandatory Reconsideration here.0 -
@Hannahmarie1234 over 1 hour it was yes she kept asking questions then coming back to the same one but wording it differently felt like I was being interrogated honestly it didn’t feel how the websites say there there to listen and help it felt more like she was against me tbh thanks very much I’m glad you finally have a answer and the outcome you wanted made up for you0
-
@roglin55 after seeing yours and all the people on this forum with different outcomes im not Guna go by the report but just want to know if it’s correct or not so I can prepare for mr if needed I think it’s best hope this time you will get the outcome you was hoping for thank you0
-
I understand its so shattering waiting for news then when they go against the HP report 🙄 well it's soul destroying but the fight goes on good luck x0
-
I'm going to phone on Friday to make sure they've got my mandatory reconsideration report I sent it yesterday recorded delivery just my preference .0
-
@Jimm_Scope thank you she kept trying to rush me and not letting me answer trying to move to the next question so I continued to answer in full as she was letting me say one sentence then moving on she also apologised at the start of the call for saying sorry to be late I haven’t had a letter yet so im wondering if it’s been sent but not received it and if that’s the case then I feel she might of been rushing to get to the next person as she was running late I did say I hadn’t received any notice she kept also asking when I was diagnosed with my conditions I thought you didn’t need diagnosis I have been diagnosed with my condition for over 2 years0
