It's actually turned out a nice day today, mild with a bit of sun. Still windy but not as bad1

I'm in awe of you all. Pain is so hard to cope with and you do it admirably.
Tens machine I find good too. That and heat patches. I'm on butrans patch but it doesn't do much.
Anyone any tips for lower back pain?
I try to move about even though it's sore and distraction by reading. I'm a real bookworm.
There's a great series of books by Michelle Vernal about the O'Mara family and the first is The Guesthouse on the Green. They are laugh out loud funny and are on kindle1 -
Lower back pain @Marydoll5 is something I put up with every day. I find heat from water bottles eases it, but when it's severe then ibrufen gel, heat, trying to move it and pain killers, when it flairs up.2

I've just noticed that it's past 4 o'clock and it's still light outside! Not quite so gloomy! Lighter days are on their way1

Yes days are getting better lighter now @Rosie_Scope it's better I think2

Hi glad to read you’re doing good today.
I’m getting a bit anxious about going into hospital on Thursday.
❤️
Hello Lou, i just wanted to send my best wishes for your surgery on Thursday and hope that everything goes well for you!2 -
Haha, no @Ada I'm not a young boy. I think the anime-style, a drawing style from Japan, does come across as looking very young. I've been trying out different pictures as I wasn't too happy with what I was using before.1

Poppy thanks so much for your kinds words.
Im blown away by the support I’ve received from all of you. ❤️2 -

Thanks @Sandy_123 and @Ada . I use a rollator with a seat to walk about and its a lifeline.
I've too much weight on which doesn't help either!
I realised that I'm barely moving when I tried one of those step counters and I barely made 300. I'm going to try and walk every day and start small and try and increase it.
Good luck with the knee operation @Lou671 -
Evening all.
It's been quite a nice day here, apart from a quick downpour at half three.1 -

Oh thank you, they don’t keep you in long at all when I got my last knee done on the Thursday they said if I felt ready I could go home on the Saturday but I was in agony so I got staying till the Sunday.
I personally think you should be in at least a week not that I like hospitals but it’s a big operation.
I hope you’re keeping well. ❤️
Good luck with the op.2 -
@Marydoll5 little a day is a good way to start.
Been like spring here @teigr apart from the wind.
