    My Dad is just off to our grumpy relative to do a few jobs for her at her house…He got a selection of tools out of his van that he thought he'd need and asked if I could think of anything he'd forgotten. I said what about ear defenders??. He said he was only doing a bit of drilling. I said it's not for the drill 😐️

    @66Mustang
    Aww I really laughed out loud there thanks for that 😊

    @Sandy_123
    Hi Sandy thanks I hope you have a nice time with your grandkids.
    Rosie’s not stayed a lot as my daughter doesn’t really like her staying out if she doesn’t have to, but I miss seeing her I used to see her most days before she started school.
    So I asked could she come and stay. She’s not here yet so that could change 🙄😂
    I just ordered those gloves for arthritic hands have you ever tried anything like that.

    Trying to find who mentioned arthritis gloves but can't. . I've tried them and found them useful but couldn't keep them on long. Maybe that's just me?

    Other than that, neighbour called this morning for a cup of tea, said he'd not seen the rabbit this morning. Not suprised as it's on my back garden happily munching its way through a couple of digestive biscuits😁 . This morning it came through the fence when I was at the back door with the dog. Bit close for comfort but I'm keeping her on a long lead while rabbit's knocking about.Daren't let her loose on the garden.

    I should probably clarify that the rabbit belongs to the neighbour, I'm the person with the first cross greyhound who has a high prey drive! 😄

    @birdwatcher
    Hi that’s nice you had company today for a cuppa also nice the rabbit pops over to lol
    It was me that mentioned the gloves for arthritis I’m glad you found they helped, I don’t imagine I could keep them on long but I will try as my fingers have gotten so painful all the time, it used to just be when the weather was damp.

    @Sandy_123
    I hope your son manages to do your lawn. I’m going to go a walk and get the shop for bread on my travels.

    @Beaver79

    @Lou67 I'd be interested to hear about the gloves because I have a family member with arthritic hands. Are they thin enough that you can do things with them on or are they quite thick??

    @66Mustang
    Hi I hope you enjoyed your walk.
    The gloves arrive tomorrow so I will let you know how they are, they did look thin but I haven’t ever seen a pair, to be honest that’s the reason I’ve never bought them before incase they are to thick, but the pains coming more often than not now so theyr worth a try. 😊

    Hope you get on ok with the gloves. They did help me but so tight, couldn't keep them on long. But certainly worth a try.

    Oh, your earlier comment about ear defenders did get me thinking @66Mustang, about the other week there was a work crew doing road work on our street and were using a jackhammer to break up the road. And none of them were wearing their ear protection. Some of them even had it around their necks but weren't wearing them. I could hardly deal with walking by the noise it was so loud.

    My dad actually works in the construction industry with my brother and he is always VERY insistent that they wear ear protection for any power tool work. He's seen people go deaf before retirement due to not protecting their hearing.

    Hope your gloves work @lou67

    @Lou67 that's very good!! If they help they were worth 10 times that I say

    @Jimm_Scope I don't know why tradespeople do that!! Is it maybe a showoff thing, like if they don't wear protection they seem stronger or something?? My brother is a really stereotypical macho man and he is a tree surgeon, his job involves climbing up a tree with one arm, chainsaw in the other … but he would NEVER do a job without chainsaw trousers and proper boots and stuff … no job pays enough to make it worth risking becoming permanently disabled

    Thanks @Ada I had a lovely dinner, even though it was left overs from yesterday it was one of my favourite meals, it was a chilli made with different beans. What's more it's completely vegan if it wasn't for the optional cheese I sprinkled on top … one of my few favourite foods that don't involve animal products 😀

    I'm sorry you are struggling so much to get on Scope. Are they working on new 5G things right now or is it something that will just happen in future, like years down the line?? Hopefully there is something that can be done so you can get internet soon
