How is your day going?

Morning all, how are we today? The weather seems slightly better here at least! Still quite chilly for June though.

It's like the middle of November here @Jimm_Scope
2 -
morning all enjoy pamper day @Lou67 and @Marydoll5
I need to venture to hairdressers soon last time I had it done was turkey.

I was thinking about getting my hair dyed, I keep forgetting to actually contact the salon though to get it done!
1 -
What colour you going @Jimm_Scope
1 -
I've only dyed my hair once and I went for a few streaks (so not my full head of hair) of quite a dark blue that eventually faded into a light blue. I quite liked it even as it faded! I might do that again, as I'm unsure I'd be a fan of a full dye in such a vibrant colour.

Yeah sounds good

I'm. Cold no decent weather

@Jimm_Scope I said this to someone a few weeks ago on here when they mentioned their ideal appearance and I thought it didn't seem like "them"! But, dyed hair isn't something I would have thought you'd do 😮 I thought you seemed like quite a formal person if that makes sense, not in a bad way but like not into "silly" stuff 😆 but I think coloured highlights looks good though, I've seen it a few times on different people
My Granny is cross today because she has a virus or something on her phone. I don't really know how to stop her but she always has to click on the clickbait while on the web and stuff. And any pop-up that says stuff like "click here if you are over 70 and have a pension" she immediately has to click on it. I could understand but she used to run a multimillion pound business which owned properties all over the country, she is the last person I'd think would fall for the "Nigerian Prince" email and stuff like that!!!!!

Highlights! That's the word I couldn't think of, thank you 😆. Yes, I had dark blue highlights. I think I probably seem more "formal" given that this is my job 😋 also I think my typing style is pretty formal but in person I am quite informal and silly!
I have had the issue of older family members having rather poor technical safety knowledge as well. It's something that feels so simple to me, but it's also something I've grown up with. I have to try and keep that in mind.
1 -
That makes sense about it being your job @Jimm_Scope I did before wonder why I got on with you because I don't tend to get on with people who take themselves seriously - it makes total sense that you are silly deep down 😂
I agree about the tech safety - I always took the view that the moment you decide "I won't get scammed, I'm not stupid", that's when you become vulnerable … if you always doubt yourself I think that keeps you safe if that makes sense??

Afternoon all I hope yous are enjoying your day.
@Sandy_123 & @Beaver79 Thanks I enjoyed my facial it was 3 different things she done Dermaplan, enzyme peel and a steam she then done a treatment on the biggest off the milia spits I had that part was quite painful but worth it. I will go back definitely. I hope yous are doing well today.

Also yes @66Mustang, I am actually a relatively silly person outside of work. I find silliness helps relieve stress a lot of the time.
And yes, always remain vigilant! Hackers and fraudsters are always finding new ways to trick you into giving information to them.

@Jimm_Scope Interestingly I know of quite a few people who do/did jobs that you'd think need taking really seriously as they involve death, crime, illness and such, but they are some of the daftest people, even at work - I think that's a well-known thing because apparently if they didn't do that they would get upset by the work they are doing
I came across quite a really good scam the other day and it genuinely almost had me, it's really quite well staged with a fake BBC news story (which I was innocently forwarded by someone who didn't know it was fake, which led me to investigate and almost fall for it) giving it a veiled plug and all sorts of surrounding stuff … I give them 9/10 for effort I think
1 -
They're getting more subtle @66Mustang, it's even easier for them to just spam them out with AI now too to generate the content.
I think some of the very serious jobs need to be counter-balanced by silliness. It's the brains way of protecting itself perhaps, I don't know.

@Jimm_Scope some of the things police officers and nurses/doctors say about people behind their backs would probably attract media attention, I think it's probably for the best that normal people like us, who don't really understand what they have to go through, just remain ignorant, so long as those people carry on doing a good job 😂
I do think there is a time and a place for seriousness and fully accept that that is not the place for me so I stay well away. I wouldn't touch politics or something similar with a 10 foot pole, for many reasons, but in part because I'm not capable of taking it seriously
I'm going to a restaurant soon, I couldn't think of a Father's Day present for my Dad so I decided we could go to a nice restaurant instead

Oh lovely @66Mustang, is it a favourite restaurant/food of your dads? Enjoy!
