Oh no, hopefully they'll do a pick up as soon as snow goes, be a bit of a pain if they leave it to next time

It's so cold here today and we've had a weather warning about strong gales 'causing a danger to life'.

I'd best leave my kayak in the garage then.

I don't know about your neck of the woods @Beaver79 but down here we pay council tax so that the idiots in charge can lease Porsches and enjoy endless liquid lunches while they dream up new ways to waste our money.

I hope they work soon @Lou67
Our bins only get emptied once every two weeks and no extra pick up on xmas

Our rubbish is taken away every three weeks(unless you live in a flat or in sheltered accommodation),recycling is picked up every week;same as food waste and nappies.
Garden waste is taken away every other week between the end of March and sometime in November, you have to pay extra for that though.

Trying to fetch charges here for garden waste too but they already have fly Tipping problems. Will only increase it I think. Rediculas really, like you say, the fat cats in the council with their buffets, last year they all had air conditioning installed, because it was too much effort to plug a fan in

They've just started charging people to have their Christmas trees taken away, five quid and they have to wait almost a month for them to be collected.

I don't think there were too many takers.

The last time we had a bin collection cancelled because of bad weather they came round the following day.

    None here @Autism_at_40
@teigr everyone here donated their trees to a farmer who requested them for his sheep, who knew sheep eat them

I hate it I do get maggots on top of my bin around the rim in summer, I've tryed some scented bin stuff inside the bin. Have to spraying fly spray over it to kill them
