Hope your stomach is feeling a bit better today @Strawberry1.
About the forms, I remember when I had to fill in the forms for my ADHD assessment. I needed help with them!
My partner is actually starting her Autism assessment referral soon as well, so I'll be helping her with a bunch of forms in the near future. I know I am going to be one of the other people asked questions, as well as someone who knew her as a child from the US.

Apologies for my late reply @Jimm_Scope and @Rachel_Scope . My stomach is better thank you . I think I rushed my form @Jimm_Scope I think that my anxiety I worry if I leave certain things . I should have waited to see if someone could help me . Nothing wrong with getting support with forms @Jimm_Scope , two minds are better than one . I wish your partner all the luck in the world with everything that has to be done with the forms @Jimm_Scope . Fingers crossed ๐ค. Thanks for your time @Rachel_Scope and @Jimm_Scope . Hope you are both having a reasonable day . Doing some washing. Unfortunately I don't sit out in the sun it's way too hot for me and I burn easily . Take care of yourselves and have a decent rest of the day. Thank you ๐

Doctors are not the DWP @Strawberry1. And even the DWP can accept additions to the forms. If you left out information on the form then the doctor will be happy to accept it at the appointment itself! Perhaps try to have a set of notes for everything you'd like to bring up?

I just worry so much that's the issue I have @Jimm_Scope .

I can understand feeling like that. I don't know how it is for you, but for me and my ADHD getting diagnosed was actually a relief. Many of the issues I had blamed on myself, weren't because of who I was as a person, but partially because of the world around me and how I had tried coping with that.
If you do have autism, that would explain why you have had issues interacting with a neurotypical world. Knowing I had ADHD has helped me know what kind of interaction works best for me, so I can cope with things better. Hopefully, if you have autism, it could do the same for you

I never think you are "late" when you reply to me @Strawberry1. We all have our own lives, I'm not expecting you to answer me immediately! This is a forum, it's very normal for replies to be hours apart, try to not worry about being late ๐

Cheers @Jimm_Scope . Your a real gem ๐.

Is anyone getting really down at what's going on with the world. Been worse since Labour got in. Not knowing what's going to happen, and what has happened makes me very depressed

Strawberry,
As well as listening to your answers, the assessor will be studying you and your mannerisms. We have limited control over them which is why this condition is so debilitating in a neuro-typical world.
Being scrutinised is very uncomfortable but they will understand that. You get plenty of time to answer their questions and can pass or pause to think.

I'm always late getting back to people
Putting things off till later? Completely normal! ๐

I understand everything is quite grim just now. I will say though, it can take years to see the effects of policy changes and government changes. We will be feeling the effects of what the previous government has done for a few years. Government, or the country at least, is like a giant container ship rather than a little speed boat. It does not turn well, and it does not turn quickly.
