Autism/Depression

I'm so sorry to hear about the gaslighting and the less than nice partner. I just keep telling myself that not every human is like that and I try to treat each now person as a friend, until they give me reason to think otherwise. But I totally get the want to stay away from people!

Albus, in my case this was before my diagnosis so I don't even know what sort of partner I'd be now but I'd guess far less insecure and much nicer to be around 😊

Hah, I do feel that most late diagnosed autistic folk have a before and after personality, I know I've become a load more tolerant and self advocating now.

What surprised and delighted me was finding again some of the original 'me' - the child I was before the taunts changed me!

And I'm glad the authentic @WhatThe is with us now. 😁
As my sis said to me "You may be more nervous of people now, but you've certainly got more of a backbone."
The 'tism giveth and it taketh away. 😁3 -

I am still a little worried about the assessment if I'm honest.

it’s horrible having to wait so long for something that is so important, hopefully you don’t have to wait much longer ❤️

If someone has autism and adhd am I right in thinking that symptoms overlap each other? Hope it's OK to ask

I do get so very confused and worried.

Whatever my outcome is I think I will not like myself even more . Despite it being a real thing. I know it would be wrong of my too not like myself that is what will happen because unfortunately that's me . I would not think that about anyone else just me .

I was diagnosed with Autism at 55, I'm 57 now. I went for my first diagnosis in 2019, then the 2 follow up in 2022, and the outcome. I am more patient but also I find emotions difficult, my daughter was 14 with hers

Very much so but I do also have BPD and a few other things. I also feel I have different types of anxiety but no one ever understand that. They just say it's different levels and although I know it's defiantly anxiety.. I can Promise it's different types.
