Hi my dad has acalasia type 3 and struggling with his diagnosis. He is 74 and used to go out all the time he is a shell of his former self. Is anyone else had any experience with this.

His GP has meds but nothing seems to help him atm he is so depressed0

Hi @Ejames78_18, welcome to our community. Have you looked into what the local authority can provide around any care needs or adjustments to help him with getting about? Maybe getting out a bit more too?
It's difficult coming to terms with a diagnosis, many of us here have had to go through it and everyone has a different journey with it.0
