That's correct. PIP does not get migrated for anyone. That remains a totally separate benefit.

I'm on Lcw Esa waiting 9 months to hear from Esa 50 review. As I'm on this I have had no dealing with Jobcentre. Apart from one phone call a year ago. I used to do permitted work but gave it up In March 23 due to health. I get pip.
Did the turn to us check, it said there are 2 catorgies of Lcw one getting ready for working one not. So bit confused what I am in
Also doing the calculations they have , I be worse off under UC due to my Esa support payment not being available. So concern Ed about this

There is two LCW and LWCRA
0 -
What does it mean
0 -
If you google them it will explain

LCW is low capability for work. For this one you are expected to be able to do some work again in future, and will get help towards getting back into work from the Job Centre.
LCWRA is low capability for work and work related activity. For this one you are not expected to work in future.
Can you check your latest ESA letter to see what exact wording is on there? That'll help us advise on the UC migration.

I have a question, do I have to report my hospital stay to UC?
0 -
How ? is there any simple option to inform them about it? I went into the application, update changes, and I couldn't enter the discharge date,

Thanks, this one will probably be the best. Thank you.

I've been doing some research regarding this.
Generally UC won't stop or be reduced if you are in Hospital for under 6 months.
My take is a 24+ hour stay may trigger a WCA, or affect job search commitments.
I had a 5 night stay recently and didn't inform UC, because I already have LCWRA and didn't see that it changed anything, so in my opinion they didn't need to be informed.

Your advice about those that are claiming Income Related ESA not migrating to UC until 2028/29 is incorrect! Managed migration for those people have been brought forward to anytime from now until end of Dec 2025.

I know I said about the esa review was bizarre, but then again what do I know, I have had a terrible week, being now checked for bpd . I seem not to think when posting stuff. Which I get attacked . I've been told by a person , that I'm making up ihave autism, using it for excuse.im not, and I've been diagnosed. Not on scope I hasten to add. But I won't post things on anything again.finding so hard at the moment. So I say good bye as I'm not posting again

There's a group/web page https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/kunena/10-dla-esa-queries-results lots of info, guides on how to fill forms , even forms you can fill in and it tells you what you could be awarded, worth a look

That's benefits and work which costs £20/year membership and not everyone can afford that amount of money unfortunately.

Hello folks.
After being on a legacy benefit for many years my partner and I suddenly received our migration letter to UC with the the cut off hitting before the end of this month, ( we live in Scotland, for context and reference) incase anyone else has received a similar letter.
Because I have mobility problems and my partner has PTSD and CTSD and other additional needs we weren't quite sure how to navigate things, so we had a welfare rights officer get involved who came to our house for a home visit and completed the forms with and for us, she was amazing, a fit note was supplied for my partner and as I am a full time carer one was not required for myself, the only slight hiccup was that we only had one form of picture ID each, and you need 2, (Passport, drivers licence and Provisionals are all accepted) however bus passes including NEC cards are currently not accepted forms of picture ID for reference.
So because of this we are going to be receiving a Biographical phone call next week and a possible ID home visit thereafter to verify that, which can be requested if someone has disabilities, additional needs and or vulnerabilities however a possible additional home visit may also be required, as my partner cannot cope with face to face appointments due to his additional and very complex needs, once these have taken place the application will move forwards.
We were told from the day we applied to migrate we would receive one more IS payment ( as a 2 week period of grace is given) before all of our usual money ceases minus our PIP as that wont change, this will be for approx 5 weeks, but as we normally get our IS every fortnight it will mean that we should only be one week more than normal to wait before our UC is awarded so then instead of receiving our IS we will have our UC.
Also it is also advised to have your benefits checked before you migrate over by welfare rights as once you have migrated over if its incorrect it could mean you actually getting less than you are actually entitled, our Welfare rights officer noticed that we had been underpaid and the DWP had to give us a backdated figure, so that meant we got money back we were entitled and as it was there error they cannot use it against us figuratively as it was money owed to us by the DWP this also and importantly meant that we were migrating to UC on the correct income meaning that we would in turn get the correct UC when it had migrated which let me tell you will make a huge difference in our lives moving forwards, so please, please have a benefits check done before you migrate if there is any advise I can provide that could help anyone else moving forwards with their UC migration I would be only to happy to support where I can.
Blessings x
