Hi @jesus1 thank you for letting me know. I've been advised the team are working through a large volume but I have raised this and hopefully they'll get to you soon.

Yes in a similar position with multiple probs Jessie, it sounds pretty grim for you, don't go without heating when you really need it, it's not worth it for the impact on your health. I contacted my supplier last summer (Octopus) + told them I was struggling with the income, and got to say they've been pretty good, would have been well into arrears without their help, although I had to bombard them with emails for weeks before they came good. Have you tried doing something like that? The Scope energy vouchers will be a help but not enough on their own for the winter, especially with the lousy weather we've been having.

Also note everyone household support will give you help with energy costs if you have a low balance on your energy account, although you can only apply occasionally, eg once every winter.

But the real issue is one of morality, in one of the richest countries of the world (so we're told), we should not have to be struggling without basics like food and heating. Our situations have been created by successive government decisions, and so far Labour don't look like doing anything to improve how we are treated.

Thanks for that Poppy, sounds like you should be hearing from them shortly. I've been checking emails every day (including spam folder) since sent them one last Fri, not heard anything back yet.

Cheers, @IndignantPigeon! The thing is, I hate to owe money for anything, so the way I control my leccy bill is with the heating off. So, hot water, LED bulbs, air fryer & induction plate keeps me to what I can afford, so I don't go into arrears. Eon Next are useless anyway, payment a day late, which is a rarity & in comes an email. With the Scope energy payment it'll mean I can use my electric throw a lot more which will be a luxury.

It is incredible that in the 21st century we have these problems & it does seem that there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Hope you hear back from the Scope team soon.

Oh I know the pleasures of washing in cold water! One thing I have learnt, living this way like a monk, is if you are moving about you can usually keep fairly warm, even if the heating is off. But if you're resting or unable to move about much you should really put the heating on, especially if you're starting to shiver. Removing the fuses will make that harder for you Jessie, and I'm rather concerned you don't overdo it, trying to keep in the red. You know thousands die each year from complications caused by the cold, please don't be one of them. A heated blanket is good but at times you do need background heating too, cold damp air is bad for asthmatics, and encourages the growth of mold. Eon sound useless, maybe a good idea to switch to someone like Octopus? But do look after yourself x

Thanks, @IndignantPigeon. The not moving around thing is a pain, in more ways that one, but it does help getting the blood pumping. Don't worry, I do wrap up well & have a regular warm plushy blanket to hand, as well as the heated throw should it be really dire. I have thought about changing supplier, just haven't got round to it yet, I'm stuck on better the devil you know I s'pose.

Anyway, thank you again, take care & hope you hear soon x

I am kind of giving up on getting the blanket to be honest.

I have just looked at the link again.

No mention of the electric blanket that people have applied for. Just the heating voucher.

I guess they've been so overwhelmed that they've needed to remove the offer?

I presume so, but I would hope and hopefully someone can confirm that all those who applied for a blanket before they removed the offer from their website will be sent one.

Whilst I keep on saying how lucky and grateful we all are for the support to be offered, the communication has been awful I'm afraid to say. I've been waiting for an energy voucher since December and have heard nothing.

Received the blanket today, which actually was a throw in the end but still received. So now have received the vouchers and blanket/throw so they are coming.

Got the £150 credit on Monday and just been informed that the electric throw has been processed and dispatched and should arrive very soon.

I received my £150 this morning. I had an email to say it was being processed and I would receive it within 7-10 days and it would be sent to my preferred contact method. A few minutes later another email with the a link to active the Mastercard with the payment on it. I did that and then paid it straight onto my energy account.

I hope those that are still waiting will receive it soon! I didn't request the throw because I already have one from Octopus energy which still works fine.

    Hi Holly,

Still no sign of anything here. If you remember I started this thread on the forum back before Xmas. I emailed them last Friday, not had any reply except the automatic "will write back by 10th Jan".

Must we give up on the heated blanket / throw? I'm wondering whether they'll stop giving out vouchers too? I'd be happier if they'd just email me, but the silence is deafening now - could you give them a prod?

My electric throw arrived today! Thank you so much X.I didn't apply for the voucher as I have a metre and pay by credit card so not sure if it's possible?

No it is possible Jane, I'm sure, that's why I started the thread, I asked them what a "credit" meter was + they assured me we qualify…

I have just taken a look and filled out the form.I should've done it at the same time as the blanket but wasn't sure if I was allowed.
