Energy voucher + electric blanket - flummoxed!

That sounds a bit of a pain Wibbles, if you don't have a mobile. My guess is anyone in that situation should give them a phone, they "should" make allowances / alternatives.

Legally yes they should...... Especially as it is Scope

Still heard absolutely nothing from them. Wonder if we'll get vouchers + blankets before the warmer weather…?

Hi all. There's quite a high volume but the team are working through them as quickly as they can. Hopefully you receive some news soon.

Got an email about a blanket but nothing about vouchers

I applied for a voucher because I already have an electric throw. Haven't heard a single thing..

I applied for a heated throw because I've had the Warm Home Discount.

Sadly, I missed out on that this year despite my house being bigger than the one I lived in last year and I qualified last year.

How do you qualify for the warm home discount?

They used to be paid automatically, I think. Mine have been erratic despite living at the same address.
A low income and a poor Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating could qualify you if your welfare benefits don't. I also found this new scheme offering the £150.
The Park Homes Warm Home Discount scheme 2024/2025

Oh ok I used to get it at a different address, I can't remember this one. Despite it being a eco house it's freezing in the winter. Having solar panels on only benefits the housing association that the savings if any goes back too, so that's unfair. It's a typical modern house.

If you live in England or Wales it depends on the age and size of the home you live in. As well as claiming certain means tested benefits.
You do not need to apply as you will automatically receive it if entitled.

Thanks for letting me know @Crazyone. I'll get this reported to the team. So sorry about the delay, the team are working through them.

Hi, Has anyone heard anything about the £150 energy voucher or blanket yet ? do they call you up or just send out ? emailed them again but no reply as of yet :(

Still nothing Sunshine, and applied before Xmas. Not too surprising if they've been snowed under with applicants, but hope they get their skates on before winter is over!

A tip for anyone thinking of applying for this: If you think your house qualifies get in touch with your energy provider. Most of them support this scheme but not all of them do. Poppy's link above lists all the suppliers who do this. Send your supplier a message (if they are in the scheme of course) telling them about your home, eg old building with no central heating etc. Not all houses are rated for energy costs, eg if your home hasn't been sold for ages, eg if you inherited it, it most likely hasn't been rated. So getting in touch with your energy supplier to make them aware of it's condition is the way to overcome not having a energy rating.

To be clear you don't need an EPC to qualify for the Warm Home Discount. Entitlement is not based on actual energy costs. It's based purely on property type, age and floor area.

I applied well before Christmas and e-mailed the team and they said they received my application and to wait, so I shall do.

Hopefully everyone who applied for the £150 energy voucher will hear tomorrow - the team only process vouchers on Thursdays !
