I think the old saying is "the first casualty of war is the truth." I remember my old teacher saying that years a go.

Trump has enough common sense to do everything to end the Ukrainian war, but politicians in Europe don’t seem to have enough.
War benefits only the rich and the politicians in the service of the rich.
For Russians, Europe is no longer valuable now - the fools have cut off all trade with them.
But fools don’t understand that you can’t pay off a nuclear warhead flying at you faster than lightning.
Moreover, they have disabled SWIFT for Russians - even if they want to pay them, they won’t be able to!0 -
I wish you all the best in your move alot going on for you all the best ro yourself and your mum ❤️ and pippa of course your greatly missed

And yet when we spend the money we receive it goes back into the economy. The super rich however, who the government refuse to tax properly, will invest their hoarded wealth in property to save vast amounts on taxes thus driving up house prices for everyone else and will have off shore accounts where their money will just sit instead of parts of it being reinvested back into society to be recycled and create a more healthy economy. The government don’t need to cut the benefits bill to save money, it just has to tax the rich properly, the outcome of which will make the rich a little less rich, but still rich non the less. They’ve consciously chosen to punch down, something you would expect from the Tories but the fact that it’s a Labour government acting in this cruel way makes it that much harder to accept.

I was reading comments from the Disability and Work site and what someone said is the crux of the matter, "it's you can't work, you can't work", it really is that simple.

Starmer and reeves just given zelensky £2.2billion loan on top of the millions we are giving him yearly. Apparently millions have gone missing and unaccounted for , what's given to him. Starmer loves giving money abroad and never mind about us were just penniless

Is this thread still about Labours benefit reforms?
4 -
I hope so.
When does Scope anticipate reforms to disability benefits (#ESA and #PIP) to be announced? Before or after the Spring Statement on 26th?
0 -
The thread seems to have digressed to the Ukraine and Trump which is nothing to do with potential government benefit changes.
An anouncement is expected on 26th March and that is all any of us know.
