The government have stated that there will be benefit reforms and until an official announcement is made, nobody including the guy you refer to do not know what their proposals will be.

Are they removing the lcwra from current claims or just new.

Nothing is concrete yet, still so much speculation flying about. If you look for bad news, you'll certainly find it online. A brief search just said £10bn cuts ( Birmingham Live).

Yeah B'ham mail mentions about people with fibro, adhd & other invisible disabilities been helped back in to work. Feels like a witch hunt against invisable disabilities

If they abolish LCWRA we would all be placed into the Limited Capability for Work (LCW) group unless we get moved onto to another group, LCW plays into Alan Milburn's want for everyone to have a level of engagement.
None of it makes sense, they want to toughen up the WCA but what would be the point of a Work Capability Assessment if only LCW would exist?

I'll take a break from posting and looking as I'm confused on top of worried.
They cannot force a person who legitimately, genuinely cannot work into work, that's the crux of it and we're going into human rights violations at an international level if they try. Would that be a great look for the so called party of Social Justice? No.

I wonder what they intend to do with claimants who have recently been reassessed as having lcwra and been kept in the support group.

wow that’s interesting as I watch a couple of channels on YouTube and they’re a bit worrying. Do you remember how old this video is you watched or what it was called roughly as I’d like to watch it. Thank you 🙏

I'm confused that Scope recently and belatedly deleted some of my comments because they were "potentially misleading".
Either they are or they aren't! Which comments I have no idea unless they tell me! I haven't commented on this thread for ages..

JasonRA, once upon a time there was a Personal Capability Assessment (PCA) to determine entitlement to Incapacity Benefits (IB). One outcome was no entitlement ie able to work.
IB was replaced by Employment and Support Allowance with two tiers of entitlement. Removing one of the tiers leaves 'fit-for-work' as an outcome of the WCA. Same as it ever was.

Oh wow I really hope he’s correct on this . Though if he is and they intend to make the savings purely from tackling fraud why did they fight Ellen Clifford in court ? It still gives hope so thank you for that 🙏

Starmer as a human rights lawyer must know this plus Ellen Clifford won her case.

hi Catherine , someone on here ( maybe a different thread ) just mentioned a YouTube video by someone called A different bias . The video is about 2-3 weeks ago and called what we know about labour benefits reforms ( something like that , brain fog here ). If this person is correct on what they say it’s certainly made me feel better about the situation. Not sure if you’ve already seen it but was pretty good and positive.

Thanks. I've just done his pip review. It arrived on the 21st Dec 24 letter was dated 13th December got to be back by the 13th January 25 didn't give me enough time to do so I asked for an extension which I got thank god.
Can someone answer me a question please when we get the migration letter we have to each open an account then we have to merge together with a code so then do we have to just fill one account in I don't understand.
