I had a letter through the post and a form to fill in asking me a load of questions to see if I still warrant pip. This was middle of last year, I guess this was my pip review 🤔

there is a lot of talking about that people with anxiety, CRPS should not be awarded PIP.

fingers crossed it takes some time to that to a common practice.

There are a few situations where a second property would be disregarded. Unless your friends situation fits into one of those (not receiving rent isn't one of them) he won't be entitled to UC due to the second property.

    Hello kimmy87

I am not understanding what you said about second property are you saying that to get universal credit second property will be disregarded if there is no rented property? I searched in benefit calculater if i put second property then its says he wont be getting universal credit ?

If someone has a second property there are a few situations where it is disregarded when calculating capital for UC (a second property is classed as capital).

    https://england.shelter.org.uk/professional_resources/legal/benefits/universal_credit/universal_credit_capital_rules#disregarded-capital

Otherwise it is not disregarded and means no entitlement to UC.

Whether there is a rental income from the property is irrelevant.

I've worked and studied when in severe pain but there can come a time when pain and other disabling symptoms are just too much.

some people need to be encouraged to work in pain because if they don't then they will end up doing nothing

My chronic pain is consistent, whether I am at home or in the office. Since it doesn't vary much based on location, I find it beneficial to continue working. It helps me maintain my financial independence and provides me with a sense of purpose.

I'm the same @MW123 I'd much rather keep myself busy when I'm in constant pain. Working certainly helps my mental health too.

But I'm very lucky to have a workplace where disabilities are understood and adjustments are put in place. I know many workplaces wont be the same and every person is different.

    Hi

    Kimmy87

I am having difficulty understanding the link below if you can please explain to me at the bottom where it says property disregarded close relative who has limited capability for work does that mean that if my friends has 2 property and they both joint claim in uc and they each of them leave in both property will they get universal credit? Thank you

Why would a multi property owner need to claim state benefits? It's supposed to be a safety net.

do you not think you answered your own question when you put in the 2 houses in the form and the answer was no entitlement to uc
