    That's interesting, as I've always said Labour have attacked pensioners, farmers, and vulnerable people who aren't well enough to work, what's next? Children? Looks like I was right.

    So Labour are child abusers too.

    I guess it will be animals next.

    Words just can't describe how much I hate Labour right now. {Removed by moderator - Uncivil language}

    Thousands will be in poverty because of the cuts to their parents benefits . The mp labour Zarah Sultana had a right go at her, about her £170 thousand pound a year pay. I also read kendell 1 year expenses could keep winter fuel allowance for pensioners up to 26 years

    Hi Andi,

    Zarah Sultana is one of three MP's standing as Independents and not readmitted to the Labour Parliamentary Party when other rebellious MP's recently were (I think that's right). John McDonnell and Jeremy Corbyn are the other two. They are all anti-poverty.

    It means they can speak freely now so I wonder whether Keir Starmer wants them to. Families, especially women and children plus sick and disabled claimants are already penalised by the 2015/2016 welfare reforms.

    These three MP's are doing their best to keep those damaging welfare reforms a live topic in Parliament in the face of new DWP plans to screw us over again!

    🤬

    my daughter is a teacher, she believes that they aren’t cutting all free school meals, but more of a means tested way of looking at things, because at present all children in those certain school years, no matter what their family circumstances. She’ll know more on Monday.

    @Albus_Scope ,

    Any updates on how the Scope campaign meeting went at Parliament today? Were there many MPs in attendance to support the campaign and their disabled constituents?

    Thanks!

    Good morning @Albus_Scope,I hope you’re enjoying the glorious weather wherever you are today.
    I’m mainly reaching out to let the admin team know that the accessible formats and details of the public consultation events (both in-person and virtual) have now been published on the official GOV pages. I’ve added them alongside the ongoing discussions (with my limited IT skills!). However, I doubt it will get much visibility.
    I wonder if it might be worthwhile for Scope to create a dedicated announcement thread for the accessible versions and live consultation events, to help reach a wider audience?
    Once again, a massive thank you to you and the Scope team for the brilliant work you do.
    Have a lovely day,

    Best wishes

    @Albus_Scope , @Holly_Scope

    Great work 👏👏 it looks brilliant and really professional!

    I truly hope our members are able to make the most of the public consultation sessions and the accessible formats that are now available. The original long-form documents were incredibly difficult to understand - it almost felt like they were written in a way to cause confusion and overwhelm.

    Thank you so much for being so responsive and supportive.

    Best wishes to you!

    Thanks @noonebelieves definitely a team effort. Really pleased it looks ok as I was a bit worried with all the information we needed to get on there! 🙂

    I honestly think the consultation is a waste of time. It's all a done deal! Doesn't matter what we do they are determined to put the changes through.

    These proposed cuts are truly alarming and will deeply affect the most vulnerable in our communities. It’s encouraging to see such strong collective action already underway—every voice and signature counts. I fully support the call for a benefits system that protects, not punishes, disabled people.

    @jacoboliverleo@jacoboliverleo Welcome to the Scope Green Paper discussions-it’s brilliant to have you with us. Your voice matters, and together we’re showing this government that disabled and vulnerable people will not be sidelined or silenced. These proposals are unjust and damaging, but our collective strength, lived experiences, and unity are powerful tools. We’re here to stand up, speak out, and demand a system that protects rather than punishes the most vulnerable and disabled people in our communities .

    Glad to have you on board in this fight for our rights.x

    Have a nice day!
